01:27So here at HSBC, I'd say we're really passionate about supporting Emiratis and Emirati women,
01:34hence why we're here.
01:35We were actually the first bank in the UAE and in the region, and we've supported the
01:39UAE banking business for over 75 plus years, and we're here 75 years later to kind of continue
01:46and leverage on our history and our heritage, whether that be professionally or personally.
01:50So whether that be supporting Emirati women when they go and study abroad for university,
01:55whether it be for their first account when it comes to, you know, working and being an
02:01employee, or whether that be kind of going on holiday with their families, we have the
02:05solution for them.
02:06And we're really excited to be here today to support Emirati Women's Day.
02:10As sponsors of this event, Emiratia, which is hosted by Gulf News and BNC, it's a great
02:17honour and privilege for us to be part of this entire sort of setup.
02:21You know, women, and Emirati women in particular, have played a monumental role in the development
02:27of our brand.
02:29We work a lot with private offices, as well as with individuals in sort of shaping and
02:35bringing jewellery to the forefront, and we're happy that we can be part of this event and
02:40bring all of it together.
02:42As an organisation, it is an integral part of our strategy and the Free Zones Authority
02:47to support the women in general and empowering the Emirati women throughout their journey.
02:54As an organisation, women play an integral role in developing our strategical growth.
03:02Women comprise of about 52% of our organisation workforce, and our continuous collaboration
03:08with Gulf News and BNC in empowering and fostering and developing the women landscape in the
03:13United Arab Emirates is an integral part of our commitment to developing the women
03:19entrepreneurship, the Emirati women, and integrating more in the business landscape, and developing
03:26and contributing to the growth of the United Arab Emirates.
03:30We at BNC and Gulf News celebrated Emirati Women's Day, along with top women leaders
03:36coming and talking at the forum.
03:38We believe that every woman should get an opportunity to live her passion and dream,
03:44and every woman must become financially independent.
03:53So, it helped me to be an international president, where I know that I belong to a whole community
04:01of different nationalities.
04:03And you can imagine, in 2003, I was enrolled in something called Leadership Programme of
04:09Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, where they selected 120 candidates from Dubai governments, and
04:17they would filter them for 30, and those 30 would be eligible.
04:22Thank you very much for inviting me here today, and it's my privilege to be here among you.
04:43Emirati women are scientists, are entrepreneurs, artists, engineers, doctors, and so much more.
04:53We are making significant contribution in every sector, proving that there are no limits
05:00to what we can achieve together.
05:02Limitless possibilities that lie ahead.
05:06Today, we honour the women who have shaped our past, those who are defining our present,
05:13and those who will build our future.
05:16Emirati women have always been a vital force in our society, embodying resilience, intelligence,
05:24and creativity.
