00:00Not just one, but three ships of the China Coast Guard were spotted this morning near El Nido in Palawan, according to a maritime expert.

00:08He also confirmed that China's frequent violation of their 10-dash line claim is within our Exclusive Economic Zone.

00:17Jonathan Andal was there.

00:20The three ships of the China Coast Guard were this close to El Nido, Palawan this morning.

00:27Just 35 nautical miles or 65 kilometers according to the estimate and monitoring of the maritime security expert and former U.S. senior defense official, Ray Powell.

00:37They're getting pretty close. I'm not sure it's alarming, but it's certainly concerning.

00:41They believe their 9-dash line goes right around here and they're going to go right to the edge of where their 9-dash line is.

00:47It's becoming more and more common.

00:49So, you know, we're starting to see more and more of these intrusive patrols near Palawan.

00:55Just last week, a Chinese research vessel was also spotted in Palawan.

01:00But according to the Philippine Navy, according to the protocol, the ship was only avoided in bad weather.

01:07The ships of the China Coast Guard in Palawan came from Scarborough Shoal and went down to El Nido early this morning, but they also left immediately.

01:16We tried to confirm this with the Philippine Coast Guard, but they haven't responded yet.

01:21On February 2, in Bolinao, Pangasinan, two ships of the Chinese Coast Guard also approached.

01:26But now in Palawan, they sent three ships.

01:30Usually, they go sort of one or maybe two at a time.

01:33So, taking three ships is sending a particular message of strength.

01:36China's monster ship is no longer in the West Philippine Sea, according to Powell.

01:40But there is still a Shum ship of the China Coast Guard here.

01:44One of them was pushed by the Philippine Coast Guard far from Zambales, 95 nautical miles from the southern coast of the province.

01:52But it's still inside the EEZ or Exclusive Economic Zone of the Philippines.

01:56Your illegal activity will be reported to higher authorities. Over.

02:01The Chinese ship of the China Coast Guard was pushed by the BRP Cabra in the face of heavy waves there,

02:07which reached five to eight floors.

02:09According to Powell, this is done by intrusive patrols by China, which is not illegal.

02:16It's just aggressive, right?

02:18So, what the Philippines has tended to do is to send out a ship or a plane or something just to monitor it.

02:24But according to the maritime law expert, Atty. J. Batumbacal,

02:27the Philippines needs to convince other countries to take action against the United Nations.

02:33The UN is not taking much action because first of all, there are over 160 member countries.

02:39And second, many of them have been influenced by China.

02:44Their approach to their Coast Guard vessels is a threat.

02:49All of this means that they are showing that they are really stealing the sea,

02:55and they really want us to submit.

02:58Yesterday, Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio

03:05personally talked about how to strengthen the alliance of the Philippines and America

03:08to support Rubio's so-called destabilizing actions of China in the South China Sea.

03:14The Armed Forces of the Philippines, according to the Southern Theater Command of China,

03:18has already launched a joint patrol with the United States and Canada in the West Philippine Sea.

03:26According to the AFP, it is not the Philippines that is entering.
