We're pushing the boundaries of 3D Construction! LUYTEN is building Australia's and the Southern Hemisphere's first multi-story 3D-printed home, tackling the tough Australian weather head-on. This is the first ever real owner occupier house with a permit, and a NATA certified 3d printable mixture our own Ultimatecrete.

Using the AI powered PLATYPUS X12 Modular 3D Construction Printer, we've been printing in "non-controlled, extreme Melbourne weather conditions" – proving that our robotic crane printer and Ultimatecrete mixture can handle it all, from sudden storms to extreme summer temperatures 35°C to 45°C .

This project addresses key limitations of earlier 3D-printed building prototypes attempts by construction companies in Australia. Previous prototypes were limited to single storey, required controlled temperature environments (20-24°C), and experienced material's durability issues like plastic shrinkage cracking. This multi-story home demonstrates a significant step forward in overcoming these challenges and not being limited by weather conditions.

This is the technology of the future, making leaps and bounds, and its a testament to the collaborative work with Arch_Manu (UNSW) & Boelinger Grumman.
