00:00Anton, first point of the season, big second half.
00:05Big second half, aye. We went out half time probably disappointed with how we turned out in the first half.
00:10The game was very much in Galway's terms. We really struggled with the patterns in Galway at times and I think that
00:15coming out in the second half with real intent, we got a few good turnovers, we were able to push them off the board in our terms.
00:20The long kick-outs all suited us and we really pushed forward off of them too.
00:25Good second half, good step in the right direction.
00:27Can you put your finger on what was going wrong in the first half because it was such a transformation.
00:32You weren't yourselves in the first half but you really did turn it around.
00:35We turned the ball over very easy in the attack in third and they scored one five off turnover in the first half.
00:42It's very, very difficult to defend properly whenever they're coming at you so fast.
00:46I suppose we conceded a soft goal early on and then that kind of set us up in the back foot even more.
00:52We had a few nice scores in the two-point range but definitely those turnovers were probably the biggest cost to us.
00:57We were able to get the game in our terms and play it a bit harder when we came back down in the second half.
01:01At second half, did you see a bit of the potential of this Derry team?
01:04I think he's outscored them 12-3 in the second half. Is that still going for an unbeaten Galway team?
01:10I'd say that's probably where our standard needs to be. I reckon that's what we have to be able to aim for as our bare minimum.
01:19Pushing on then into having the game in our terms in all phases, that's something we expect to be able to happen.
01:26Happy, happier.
01:29You seem to be getting more and more comfortable, maybe not comfortable is the wrong word, but how are you finding it in that midfield with the new rules?
01:37It's definitely a different game at the club level and I think the new rules are obviously making it so different again.
01:43Your speed of thought has to be so high. The way teams are setting up, it's so much less men back there defensively so you have to be very quick with your thought.
01:53Hopefully, as time goes on, that there just becomes more and more natural.
01:58I think I've got definitely a lot of development to do myself in terms of trying to bring my stance to the table as much as possible and keep pushing forward.
02:06I've got a good step in the right direction but I think I've got more on me personally as well.
