00:00A huge amount of Shared Island funding has gone into McGee College. I was a
00:06parent who has a student doing a healthcare course up there, can't get
00:11Susie, just above, but they try to get the tax relief on accommodation, but
00:16because the kid obviously is going to college in the north this is an issue, I
00:20think it's an anomaly, we're talking about Shared Island, it needs to be looked at.
00:25Thanks very much to Deputy O'Murrachu for raising this issue and can I say this
00:27Government is determined to work on an all-island basis on so many
00:31issues that it quite frankly makes sense to do that. I've already been to Belfast,
00:35met with the First Minister, the Deputy First Minister and a number of
00:38political leaders and we have specifically in the Programme for
00:41Government committed very substantial additional funding to grow Shared
00:45Island projects in the years ahead. I'm pleased you referenced McGee, it's going
00:48to be an incredible investment in education, in third-level education in
00:52Derry, but I think you're right as we come across those issues and anomalies
00:55and I thank you for bringing them up. We'll certainly reflect on them, happy to
00:58engage on a north-south basis through the Ministerial Council on them and the
01:01specific issues you've raised I'll ask each relevant Government Minister to
01:04look at them too.
