But the fact remains that the global coffee bean industry is regularly facing one headwind or the other. All that the trade requires is to focus their energies elsewhere to keep regular supplies of the bean coming in – and meet the needs of consumers.

00:00If you like starting your day with a cup of tea every morning, or if you're like me who
00:13guzzles coffee throughout the day, chances are the beverages that you start your day
00:18with are manufactured and processed at the DMC CTN Coffee Centre, where 450 million tea
00:25bags are processed every year.
00:34The DMCC Coffee Centre has been established as a service centre, and what that means is
00:40that we do not produce or make any brands, but we do everything in the value chain.
00:46And that means we start from green beans coming in, so we have traders from the green bean
00:51from all over the world who come and trade coffee here, and then some of them sell it
00:57to other places in the world.
00:59Due to our geographical location, it's very easy for coffee to come here.
01:04And green beans means coffee before it's processed into roasted coffee.
01:08Our warehouses can take over 600 containers worth of coffee.
01:13Going into the processing, what else do we do?
01:16We do everything in terms of packaging roasted coffee.
01:19Roasted coffee comes in a lot of formats.
01:21We go and cover the majority of this without the instant coffee part.
01:26So everything outside of the instant can be done here.
01:30Most of the coffee that's consumed is a blend of a lot of coffees, and this is done here
01:35as well with us.
01:36We have a lot of brands from around the world that come here and use our services in different
01:41parts of these.
01:42Some use only for green, pre-roast, some of them have brands.
01:46Our coffee today goes to more than 15 countries as an end product.
01:58Our tea center just celebrated its 17th year old birthday.
02:03With the tea center as well, we begin from the beginning of the process until the very
02:07end of the process of tea, where a lot of it comes from the origin countries of tea
02:14growth until the end.
02:16We do a lot of brands.
02:17We do over 70 brands of tea that gets processed in bags and loose tea again and gets blended
02:25or repacked as well outside of the UAE.
02:29In black tea bags, we make over 400 million tea bags every year.
02:34Last year, we had over 450 million tea bags produced here that are consumed and enjoyed
02:40around the world.
02:41So as this model, we do not have a brand, but we go around the whole value chain of
02:46tea where companies come and use the services on where they see fit.
