00:00Four people were killed in the fire that broke out in Pasay City,

00:04where more than 60 families were affected.

00:07This is the story of Isaiah Mirafuentes.

00:13The residents of Barangay Malibay in Pasay City woke up in anger

00:18after the fire broke out at 4 a.m.

00:23I was nervous.

00:26I lost my mind.

00:31My brother took out all the gas and clothes.

00:36But my mom didn't take out her stuff.

00:41She really didn't take out her stuff.

00:43The residents were shocked

00:46because most of them were still sleeping.

00:50The fire killed four people.

00:54All the victims were locked up in their burnt houses.

00:57A 34-year-old woman was killed,

00:59her 7-year-old son,

01:01her 13-year-old nephew.

01:03The last victim was the 40-year-old man.

01:06They thought he was safe,

01:08but after a few hours of the fire,

01:10they still couldn't find him.

01:11That's when they found out that he was in Wirin.

01:14One of the challenges we saw here

01:17was the tightness of the area.

01:19The entry of our firetrucks was difficult.

01:22Our victims were seen at the dead-end.

01:25That's where the fire broke out.

01:27It was difficult for us to penetrate.

01:31It was even harder for the firefighters

01:33to enter the houses that were on fire

01:35because the path to the burnt area collapsed.

01:38One of the firemen was left behind and charged.

01:42About 30 houses were set on fire

01:44and 50 to 60 families were injured.

01:47The total amount of burnt houses was estimated to be P1.2 million.

01:56reminds the public that we should take care

01:59and practice the basic fire safety measures

02:04that we need to follow,

02:05such as not to sleep,

02:07to remove the burnt houses.
