The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai on Monday said the new driverless taxi that will be operational in the emirate by the end of next year will be priced more economical than any other limousine service.

00:00Every year RTA makes sure actually we take a place part of the GEA-TEX exhibition.
00:08This year we are bringing lots of new initiatives around Metaverse, around digital twins.
00:14One of the main initiatives over here is what we are presenting is the cruise vehicle.
00:19RTA partnered with GM Cruise in providing 4,000 taxis starting from year 2023 as an
00:27autonomous taxi.
00:29We are at this stage preparing for this service launch.
00:32We start preparing the city, the digital infrastructure, the maps that will be required to create this
00:37vehicle.
00:38We are aiming to start a trial using the EV vehicles, the Bolt that we can see over here
00:42in the trial.
00:43The trial will last until quarter 3, 2023 and we are aiming for the service launch by
00:51end of 2023.
