00:00While it's still over a year before Expo 2020 Dubai opens in October next year, UAE
00:08residents and even tourists will have a chance to explore the Expo site as it nears completion.
00:14On Monday afternoon, Dubai Expo 2020's The World's Greatest Show in the Making Tour
00:19kicked off its first public tour, where people can take a sneak peek of the 4.38-square-kilometer
00:24site.
00:25So for us, engaging the community is critical, and that's why we launched our national
00:29engagement program earlier this year to make sure everyone in the UAE participates and
00:34takes part in this Expo.
00:35Yes, it is summer.
00:36Yes, some people have gone on holiday, but there are people here who may be looking for
00:41something exciting, and we wanted to make sure to give them the opportunity to do that.
00:46The first batch of residents and visitors explored the Expo 2020 site and its iconic
00:51architecture as part of the tour, showcasing various facets of the rapidly developing site
00:56as it prepares to host 192 nations for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
01:01I've been living here for seven years, and I absolutely loved doing that because it's
01:06just been so interesting to see the formation of all the amazing buildings and what they're
01:14going to develop into.
01:16It's just fabulous.
01:18It was really fun, and it was really interesting to see the development of everything, and
01:22I really can't wait to see what's going to be there, because to be honest, at first,
01:25I didn't want to go because it's going to be really busy, but now I really want to go
01:27because I've heard more about it, and I've actually seen what's going to be going on there.
01:31For the site tour, visitors can catch the tour buses departing from across the UAE three
01:36days per week.
01:37The tours will run until the end of August 2019.
01:40Expo 2020's colorful coaches will collect visitors from pickup points that include Dubai
01:45Mall, Abu Dhabi Mall, and other easily accessible locations in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates.
01:50On the journey through the Expo site, they will learn fun facts about previous Expos,
01:55about how Expos have impacted the world historically, so they get a sense of why is Expo important,
02:02and then as they get to the Expo site, they will go on a small tour of the visitor center,
02:07some entertainment, some, again, understanding of what it is they're about to see on the
02:12site, and then the buses will take them on the tour of the site itself, showing them
02:17the different districts, the iconic structures as they're being built, as well as a glimpse
02:22of what the countries are going to offer, and the entertainment and programming that's
02:26going to be available over the 173 days of the Expo itself.
02:30The tour, which will run every Monday and Wednesday afternoon, and all days on Saturdays,
02:34is open to everyone with a valid photo ID.
02:37For more details on timings and pick-up locations, and to book a seat, please visit the Expo
02:412020 website.
