00:00Hi everyone, I'm Tanusha Gokulan with Gulf News and I'm here at the end of the first
00:15day of the Dubai Airshow where an unprecedented amount of billion dollar worth of deals were
00:23signed.
00:24Multiple deals for commercial aircraft, collectively valued in billions, were secured from the
00:29two top aircraft manufacturers, obviously Boeing as well as Airbus.
00:36But Boeing turned out to be the winner for the day after standout announcements from
00:41Emirates and FlyDubai as Boeing bagged a staggering 63 billion dollar procurement plan for wide
00:47body aircraft from Boeing and this marks a significant shift towards expanding their
00:53fleet capabilities.
00:55Obviously it was certainly a big day for the American OM because it's also secured deals
01:00from Sun Express, Royal Jordanian and Air Moroc.
01:04The French aircraft manufacturing company was not far behind, they bagged an incremental
01:10order for about additional A220-300s from Air Baltic.
01:17But this is only the end of the first day and there's a lot more coming over the course
01:21of the next two, three days.
