00:00This is the new Samsung Galaxy S21 series, made up of the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and S21
00:07Ultra. The smartphones range from a 6.2-inch panel to a 6.8-inch one and feature a new
00:14contour-cut camera design blending with the device's metal frame. This gives off a striking
00:20and unique look to the phone, unlike we've seen from any flagship in the past. While
00:24the back of the Galaxy S21 otherwise is made of plastic, the S21 Plus and S21 Ultra see
00:30a glass back. But the differences in the build aside, the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus share many
00:36similarities otherwise. You get a flat, Full HD+, Dynamic AMOLED 2X display in either 6.2-inch
00:43or 6.7-inch sizes, with a variable refresh rate that's optimized between 48 and 120Hz,
00:50depending on what you're watching. With the Galaxy S21 Ultra, this bumps up to a curved
00:55Dynamic AMOLED 2X Quad HD Plus resolution panel with a variable refresh rate optimized
01:01between 10 and 120Hz. Exclusive to the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the display now also features S-Pen
01:08support.
01:09All three smartphones are designed to offer the essentials, with IP68 water and dust resistance,
01:14and a good camera experience. On the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus, you find a triple camera setup made
01:22up of a 12MP wide, 64MP telephoto with OIS, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. Comparing this to
01:29the S21 Ultra, here you find a bigger 108MP wide and two 10MP telephoto lenses, all three of which
01:38support OIS, and then there's a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a laser autofocus unit to cap it all
01:45off. Despite the differences in camera hardware, the smartphones share a similar suite of camera
01:50features, an improved single-take experience, a new feature allowing you to film with all the
01:55lenses on the smartphone called Director's Cut, as well as up to 8K 24fps. Another new ability now
02:03is to film 4K 60fps from every lens on the Galaxy S21 series.
02:09The software experience on the OneUI 3.1 on top of Android 11 sees a refresh to the smartphone's
02:16user interface, whereas powering the smartphone is Samsung's latest Exynos 2100 octa-core CPU,
02:23coming with integrated 5G support and a number of improvements to the CPU, GPU, and AI processing.
02:29On the Galaxy S21 and S21+, you get 8GB of RAM with either 128 or 256GB of storage,
02:35whereas on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, you find 12 or 16GB RAM variants with either 128GB, 256,
02:43or 512GB of storage. Topping off the power on board, you find a 4000mAh, 4800mAh, or 5000mAh
02:50battery with 25W super-fast charging on the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra respectively.
