00:00with the Mohegan Sun BKFC on the zone,
00:03headlined by Julian Let Me Bang Lane
00:05versus Cameron Jumpman Van Camp.
00:07Now, in this one, you had a situation
00:09where both these guys were coming in on win streaks,
00:12and one of those had to end,
00:14and that was Cameron Van Camp's
00:15as Julian Lane gets the fourth round TKO,
00:18a knockout with 54 seconds in there,
00:20as you see the great right hand that he lands on Van Camp.
00:24It was very interesting the way this fight worked out.
00:25I mean, round one, lots of feeling out,
00:28not many punches thrown,
00:29both these guys trying to find their way in,
00:32respecting the other's power,
00:34and because of that, I gave it to Van Camp.
00:36I felt he was coming a little more forward
00:39and got a few more punches at the end of the round,
00:41so I thought he was ahead there.
00:43Second round, Van Camp doing some nice lead uppercuts
00:46that hurt Lane a few times.
00:48It was even, you know, you saw CVP point him out,
00:50you know, that he landed one,
00:51and you see kind of Lane shake it off a bit,
00:53but Van Camp pointing at him like, I know I got you,
00:56so I thought, again, he took the round, 10-9,
00:58and his corner's telling him that, you know, watch out,
01:00Julian Lane's gonna get desperate.
01:03We know that Julian Lane has always been a slow starter
01:05in a lot of these fights.
01:06He comes on the last few rounds.
01:07Round three, again, though,
01:09going to Van Camp on my scorecard
01:11because he was more aggressive.
01:12He was trying some big shots.
01:14You know, Lane was, of course,
01:15but still, Van Camp was landing from the outside.
01:17That was the big thing, was the reach advantage
01:19for Van Camp throughout this fight early on.
01:21He was picking apart for the outside.
01:23Julian Lane was throwing some big haymakers,
01:25but he wasn't able to land before Van Camp
01:26got out of the way using that extra reach,
01:28so I thought that Van Camp got a couple good shots
01:30before the end of the round again,
01:32was able to avoid a lot of the big shots of Lane,
01:34even landed a good shot, you know, later in the fight
01:38that maybe cut Lane up a little bit,
01:40so, again, 30 now, 27 in the favor of Kevin Van Camp to me
01:45after three rounds, again, getting warned by his corner.
01:48Watch out, this guy is gonna go for broke,
01:50and what happens in round four?
01:51Well, 40 seconds in, Lane lands a big right hand
01:55that we're gonna see right there that drops Van Camp,
01:57and you can see, in trouble from the moment he hits the mat,
02:01Chris Lights Out Lytle even said,
02:02I don't think he's getting back up.
02:04Once he saw him go down, the way his face was there,
02:06he did not think he was gonna answer.
02:07He did not.
02:09Julian Lane gets his fourth victory in a row.
02:12It's an amazing comeback story for this guy.
02:14I mean, he lost three in a row,
02:15then five of six, seven of nine,
02:18then sat out 18 months.
02:19Part of it kind of imposed by the commissions, I feel like.
02:21I think there was at least a fight or two there
02:23that he was supposed to come back for
02:25because the guy just loves to get in there and brawl,
02:27and then the commission's like, you know what?
02:29This guy needs some rest.
02:30He's getting smacked around a bit.
02:32Since then, now he's on a four-fight win streak
02:34beating guys like Angu and Van Camp,
02:36who was on a two-fight win streak himself,
02:38so Julian Lane climbing up into the rankings now,
02:41coming from the depths of this division now
02:44to becoming one of the top five.
02:45Said afterwards in the ring
02:47that he wants Jeremy Stevens or Mike Perry or Jimmy Sweeney,
02:51and let's see what he talks about coming out of the ring
02:53and heading back to the locker room.
02:55So in my mind, I'm just ready to go to Dubai, man.
02:58Sitting my ass in Dubai.
03:00Let me fight Mike Perry.
03:03Let me fight Jeremy Stevens, Austin Trout,
03:05somebody in Dubai.
03:08But we gotta get paid.
03:10Oh, we always get paid.
03:13You see him there ready for
03:15packing those bags and traveling.
03:16He wants to go on the road.
03:17There's gonna be a big card out in Dubai,
03:19I believe, at the beginning of April.
03:21He wants on that.
03:22He wants Mike Perry.
03:24We'll see if he gets it.
03:24You know, he talked in the article
03:27they wrote about him on the BKFC site.
03:29In the interview, he gave about how he thinks
03:30that any of those guys, Stevens, Perry,
03:33they're just a stepping stone
03:34to getting to Trout in that title.
03:35He wants that belt.
03:36That's the end goal for him.
03:37We'll see if he gets one of those guys
03:39for his next shot or not.
03:41Then, the co-main event, you had Irish Brendan Ward,
03:43the local guy against James Knucklehead.
03:45Dennis Ward was making his debut for the BKFC.
03:49Dennis was on a two-fight win streak.
03:50That win streak is now over,
03:52as Ward beats Dennis by TKO in the first round,
03:5538 seconds in.
03:56Look at these shots that he lands there,
03:58and that's the end of the fight.
03:59You know, both guys are trading in the center early on.
04:02Dennis might have thrown the bigger shots
04:04and landed more early, but about 20 seconds in there.
04:07First Ward kind of clips him with that left there.
04:08You're not seeing from that angle.
04:09It was like kind of a weird shot.
04:11Might have broken his nose,
04:12because right away, Dennis grabs that nose,
04:14and then he throws a couple more,
04:16puts him to the mat,
04:17and that's the end of the fight there,
04:19and he wins in his BKFC debut
04:21in front of his hometown Connecticut fans.
04:23Great job by him.
