00:00The Senatorial Slate of the Alliance for a New Philippines
00:04laid out some of their solutions
00:07as well as their challenges that the country is facing.
00:10They said that the so-called predictions
00:12are also based on their experiences in serving the country.
00:16Daniel Manalas was at the center of the news.
00:21His own experiences as a Senator
00:24were brought by some members of the Alliance for a New Philippines.
00:28When they asked the people of Iloilo,
00:30they offered their abilities
00:32to solve some problems in the country
00:35such as the West Philippine Sea and other issues.
00:39The accomplishments of their service as a Senator were also highlighted.
00:43To lower the current, let's remove the 12% BAT.
00:53My throat hurts because of the BAT.
00:56I am holding a letter that I will give to President Marcos later
01:01where we are asking for a West Philippine Sea Command
01:07to guard our seas.
01:10I am just a budot in the Senate, just a budot.
01:14That's true.
01:16Your service is a budot.
01:18I am a budot.
01:20I filed 2,000 presidential laws
01:24and passed 343 laws that we are currently in favor of.
01:33I submitted a presidential law that has more than 900 laws
01:41and I passed more than 100 laws.
01:46Problems in work and salary were solved by some candidates
01:50under the Alliance.
01:52Some of the candidates are also known for fighting for trust.
01:56That's why they brought the promise to guard the people of the country
01:59even if it's just a fluke.
02:01I am also fighting for universal, equal minimum wage.
02:09It should be equal.
02:11Manila, Iloilo, Ilocos.
02:15I will not be a watchdog in the country's budget.
02:20My track record will prove that I am always fighting
02:27especially in guarding and using our country's budget properly.
02:34Mothers, fathers,
02:38we are all mothers.
02:40We only have one dream for our children,
02:43to live a good life, right?
02:46Strengthening small businesses and fighting illegal drugs
02:50were the goals of some of the senatorial candidates.
02:54God willing, I will return to the Senate.
02:59I will ensure that there will be a funding budget
03:04for the Sustainable Livelihood Program
03:08for Filipinos so that we can strengthen small and medium enterprises.
03:13I will unite the Dangerous Drugs Board
03:16and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency
03:19to form the Presidential Drug Enforcement Authority
03:24where the problems of prosecution, enforcement, prevention,
03:33and rehabilitation will not explode.
03:35Some of the new senators in the Senate want to isolate their solo parents
03:40while others are forced to give up their ability to lead.
03:44It is almost time for your ex-wife to support your children
03:50because we have passed a law in Congress
03:53that if your ex-wife does not support you, she will be jailed.
03:58I am a mother, a millennial leader,
04:02I have worked for more than 15 years in the private sector,
04:09in the household sector,
04:11even my two terms as a congresswoman.
04:16My experience is enough
04:18for us to continue to focus on giving jobs.
04:23The advantage of some senators in the Senate
04:28is that they are prepared to speak in the Senate for the first time.
04:322,000 families, 2,000 have been forced into poverty.
04:38They are no longer quote-unquote squatters, they are now landowners.
04:43In my opinion, we need better services.
04:48First of all, for better healthcare,
04:51we can provide free medicine to senior citizens.
04:55Daniel Manalastas for Pangpansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
