00:0020-minute drive from home.
00:02Wow.
00:02Isn't that great?
00:03That must have been awesome.
00:05I literally rolled out of bed onto a Marvel movie.
00:07It was brilliant.
00:15Dane Whitman in this movie is a human,
00:20whereas most of the characters in this movie are eternal beings
00:24who've been on Earth since the dawn of humanity.
00:28Whereas he's only been around about 34 years.
00:32He is Cersei's boyfriend.
00:34He has a special connection with her.
00:37And all in all, he's quite a good guy, I think.
00:40He's got a sense of humor.
00:41He takes everything in his stride.
00:43He's, you know, he's a stand-up guy.
00:52Well, I was lucky enough not to have to audition for the role.
00:55It was a straight offer from Marvel or a conversation from Marvel
01:00about me coming on board and playing this character
01:04and a conversation about whether there'd be a future for him
01:08and where it might go and, you know.
01:10So, but in the end, it was just in this movie
01:14and, you know, it was a kind of let's see how it works.
01:17And yeah, and I said, yes, I was quite interested in the character.
01:2620 minute drive from home.
01:30Isn't that great?
01:32I literally rolled out of bed onto a Marvel movie.
01:34It was brilliant.
01:35Do you know what?
01:36I haven't been asked that yet and I think it did.
01:38I think there was something about shooting on Camden High Street.
01:42You know, I turned up to Camden 20 minutes from my house.
01:45I got out of my clothes.
01:46I got into something that looked very much like my clothes
01:49and, you know, had my voice
01:52and was actually around two of my friends.
01:55So that did kind of help.
01:57You're right.
02:03It didn't feel like actually going from one big franchise to another
02:07really weirdly.
02:08I mean, I guess I don't know any different, but
02:12I certainly feel prepared for this world
02:16in a way that maybe some others aren't
02:19because I spent a lot of time on big sets,
02:25in a big scope of a project and with a big fandom.
02:32So I sort of feel prepped to be in a Marvel movie in that respect.
02:36But to me, it's another job.
02:38I know it sounds bizarre, but it's another character, another job.
02:41It's not really one franchise to the next.
02:44I don't think I try not to think about it that in those terms.
02:48I think the biggest challenge was my size of role in this one
02:55because I was quite, it was quite a small role
02:58and I had to get quite a lot across in the limited time I had
03:01and all of my stuff filmed at the end of filming.
03:04So everyone's relationships had already formed.
03:07You know, I felt like I was coming in as a kind of visitor.
03:15That they could shut down a whole section of London.
