00:00Man, before getting into the game and everything, you know, I just feel
00:04bad for the people who don't love football, man. You know,
00:07they have absolutely no idea what they're missing in their life.
00:14Hello and welcome to Golf News Kicking Back, the show where we talk all about football
00:19and there sure is a lot to talk about today. I'm Imran and I'm joined by Matt, Shamsir and Sahil.
00:26Right chaps, let's get stuck in. There was an incredible, if my maths is right, 14 goals in the
00:32two round of 16 games last night. We've got to start with a shock of the tournament. The World
00:37Champions and favourites for Euro 2020 for many, France, were knocked out by the huge underdog
00:43Switzerland in an absolutely incredible game. Switzerland took the lead with a really good
00:49header from Seferovic. They fully deserved that half-time lead. France looked really
00:54average in that first half and then Switzerland had a really good chance to double that lead
00:58from the penalty spot but Rodriguez's penalty was saved really well by Laurie. And then just
01:04four minutes later, they found themselves 2-1 down. Two goals from Karim Benzema and then Pogba
01:10scored a 35-yarder into the top corner. It's got to be one of the goals of the tournament.
01:14That made it 3-1. It looked like game over. But Seferovic had other ideas. He pulled it back to
01:203-2 before a 90th-minute equaliser from Gavinovic made it 3-3. And then France nearly nicked it.
01:28Kahneman hit the crossbar late on in injury time. There was chances in extra time but it went to
01:36penalties. Switzerland scored all five of these and Bape stepped up from France for the crucial
01:42kick and it was saved by Sommer. Switzerland are through. They're going to play Spain in the
01:48quarterfinal who got through yesterday in another incredible game against Croatia. We'll get to that
01:52a bit later on. Look, those are just the facts but so much more happened in that game yesterday.
01:57Matt, could you believe what you were even seeing? I think that we were still catching our breath
02:03after the insane game for Spain that we didn't really... I wasn't really surprised anymore.
02:11It was just like this has been the most insane day of football ever. So, you know,
02:16aliens are going to land on the pitch next and we won't be surprised. It was just everything
02:20and anything that was happening. Missed penalties, own goals, insane chances and then goals at the
02:28other end. It was just non-stop from 8 o'clock until 2 a.m. It was just non-stop mayhem.
02:37Switzerland really deserved a win in my book because France just didn't step up. They've
02:41been really disappointing. This is going to go down. It's a major flop for them. World champions
02:48last 16. No, it's not good enough. Deschamps is probably on the way out now.
02:56And yeah, Zidane, as you say, Zidane could be a very interesting chance for stepping up there.
03:05They need a leader. Mbappe's really not been on fire for the last little while and they need
03:10somebody to get him back into top gear. But yeah, no, but again, like I say, you can't take
03:19anything away from Switzerland. Brilliant game, absolutely insane. One for the history books to
03:24watch over and over. And yeah, just, you know, what can you say? You covered all the points
03:32there, Imran, but it took about 10 minutes. It was just the most crazy thing you'll ever see.
03:38Shamsir, man, what did you make of that?
03:40Man, before getting into the game and everything, you know, I just feel bad for the people who don't
03:45love football, man. You know, they have absolutely no idea what they're missing in their lives.
03:51Man, this game, you know, the 14 goals yesterday, I think that was the best five hours of football
03:58that I have ever seen in my life. Absolutely incredible. The game had everything, man. The
04:02game had chaos, errors, you know, drama. I had mistakes from the goalkeeper, brilliant saves
04:09from the goalkeeper, wonderful goals, wonderful touches, wonderful passes, top bins, everything
04:16in that, man. The drama, unlimited drama. And you could see an underdog like Switzerland knocking
04:21out the world champions. What else you could ask for, man? What a tournament this is turning out
04:26to be. I think this has been one of the best Euros that I've ever seen in my life. Unbelievable
04:31drama. And for Switzerland, you can't… Oh, my God. They gave everything, you know. Until 80th
04:38minute, nobody thought that Switzerland could do that. And they did the unimaginable thing. And
04:44a certain Gravanovic, who was not having a club like one… I think it was like 18 months ago,
04:51he didn't even have a club before he moved to Dynamo Zagreb. And now, he's scoring the equaliser
04:58against the world champions in a Euro round of 16. Man, that was incredible. And one man,
05:04Granit Xhaka. We have seen him for Arsenal, how erratic he is, you know, he's not consistent
05:10enough. But on his day, he's a handful player, you know, man. He had one of the best games that
05:16he has ever had in his life, you know. He was passing like, you know, a prime, I don't know,
05:22prime Zidane kind of things, you know. It was unbelievable. But all credit to Switzerland,
05:28for France, you can see the difference between a France and an Italian national team. You know,
05:33like Italy, when you look at them, you can see the team, everyone is in sync and that emotion
05:38is there. They all want to go and win. But you can see the France team and they are not
05:42gelling together well. And you could see the politics, maybe the politics within the squad,
05:48they're not happy with each other. You have seen how they won the World Cup, you know,
05:52they looked like a family. They were all wanting to win that tournament.
05:56Here, you could see Mbappé was having issues with everyone. You could see a lot of stories
06:01all around the newspaper saying that Mbappé had an issue with Giroud. He was not passing to him
06:05and all these things. So, in the end, Mbappé was humbled and he could come down off the sky and
06:12say that he can stay grounded now. See, okay, you have to work hard again. I think, I worry for
06:18Deschamps now. He might lose his job and there could be someone like Zidane taking over because
06:23he's a master in these knockout rounds. He can take them forward to the World Cup and he can win
06:28the World Cup again with them because we have seen with Real Madrid how capable he is with
06:31knockout rounds. He can motivate the players. These guys need just motivation because the talent,
06:36skill, everything is there. You know what? Yesterday, Deschamps did a very bad mistake.
06:42Yes, of course, he didn't have a full-back, left-back, injured left-back. So, he had to move
06:48the formation from four-at-the-back to three-at-the-back. That actually backfired
06:52completely because the players didn't know what to do. The defenders didn't know what to do.
06:56The midfielders didn't know where to stand. All these things were a problem. Then, the moment he
07:02switched back to four-at-the-back, they started playing their football and Karim Benzema scored
07:06a wonderful goal with an outrageous touch. That was an incredible touch, man. It was two yards
07:13behind him. I don't know how he took that control. That was an incredible goal. Then,
07:21what you mentioned, when the Pogba scored that outrageous goal, we thought that it's all over.
07:28What a game. What an absolutely incredible game. For a neutral, it was entertainment,
07:34excitement, enjoyment, everything. That's football for you, man. That's football for you.
07:38Sahil, how much did you enjoy that game last night?
07:41Well, first of all, I would like to say, thank God, I did not support any of the teams yesterday.
07:46I was having a laugh with myself, enjoying the game. So, I mean, thank God for that. But,
07:53I mean, going to this France-Switzerland game, I had mentioned yesterday, you know, it's going to
07:58be… France have not been convincing. I wish… At the start of the tournament, I could say,
08:02yeah, France are going to crush them. But then, leading to the group stage,
08:06I thought Switzerland were going to give a fight. And first of all, what a world-class
08:10header from Siforovic in the first half. That was nice. Because there was no power in the cross,
08:15and he directed it beautifully. Great goal. And God knows what France were doing in the first
08:20half. They looked really, really lost. Passes here and there, you know. Then, second half,
08:26Lloris woke them up with that save. Like, go, get them. And, you know, from there, Benzema got up.
08:32Benzema scored two. Griezmann was playing well. And then Pogba, oh my God, what a goal.
08:36But I still think Schick's goal was better. So, let's be honest here.
08:41Yeah, yeah.
08:41We've seen some really good goals. I mean, we've mentioned France. They were…
08:44They really were terrible in that first half. I'm sure you mentioned the formation.
08:48Because of the injuries to their two left-backs, he went with a different formation. And it failed
08:54really badly. And then he changed it in that first half. And it seemed to stem the tide a little bit.
08:59And then they're racing to that 3-1 lead. But then, I mean, really, they bottled it, didn't they?
09:04I mean, they bottled that, didn't they? What else can you say?
09:07Yeah, I mean, we talked yesterday about how a single moment can change a game.
09:13And that seemed to happen for Switzerland when they had that great opportunity to go 2-0 up.
09:20And then, all of a sudden, they're 2-1 down. And it's just like, unlike yesterday,
09:30Switzerland said, no, we're not taking that. You know, the Dutch just fell apart.
09:34But Switzerland said, no, thank you. We're going to go back and sort this out. And they did. And
09:40they did it wonderfully. France, yeah, they seemed to do well. You know, they went all spursy and
09:50just gave up. I love that, Matty. I love that.
09:56We'll get to the fact that you've not mentioned the Golo Kante yet. Thanks.
10:00But, yeah, no, you're right. They seem to just bottle it. As soon as they were put under,
10:07I mean, I think that's the first time in the entire competition that they've been under some
10:11serious pressure and have been asked some serious questions. And they just didn't have an answer.
10:15They're back 3-4 with Sam Bollock again, which has been a major failing throughout this tournament
10:26and went through injuries and the guys on the right just being farcical. But they,
10:34yeah, they still deserve to be going home. And I think, as the champs have said as well,
10:41Dechamp is probably going to be on the way out now.
10:44You know, I said before the tournament even started, there were favourites for a lot of people.
10:50But with that much quality, that many superstars in the squad,
10:54I had a feeling that there might be an occasion or two where they're just not going to play as a
10:58team. They're going to leave it to each other. And I think that happened yesterday. I mean,
11:02they just didn't deserve to progress, did they?
11:05They didn't. They didn't. Absolutely not. You know, even Dechamp's team selections were
11:10absurd. He was selected long late to be in the centre of the centre defence,
11:15like an anchor. He had an absolutely horrible season with Barcelona. You know how erratic he
11:20is. He's an error-prone defender. And you're putting him in the centre of the centre defence
11:24when in such a crucial match. And that proved to be absolutely a baffling decision from him.
11:30Because, you know, the players that he could have taken, Laporte, he changed his nationality.
11:34He could have taken Konate, who's going to join Liverpool. He could have taken Ube Makano,
11:39who had an unbelievable season with Leipzig. You know, like, it's a baffling… Even he could
11:44have played Zuma, who was there on the bench. You know, he had a good season with Chelsea.
11:48So, it was baffling. You have to pinpoint questions to Dechamp. And I think he'll have to
11:56leave that job, I think, you know. Because with that score, they should be progressing
12:00at least to the semi-finals or the finals. Because they were everyone's favourite.
12:05That's true, you know.
12:06Apart from mine.
12:10He's messed up big time, hasn't he?
12:13I could completely agree with Shamsher. Like, saying that, you know,
12:16Zuma should have started instead of Longley, you know. As he said, like, Longley has had a
12:20error prone… He's an error prone defender. And Zuma had a decent season with Chelsea.
12:26And again, like, yeah. And Imran saying, like, you know, with big stars, sometimes, you know,
12:31don't gel. But I don't think… You're right that sometimes they don't. But can't give a reason.
12:35You've got all quality players in the team. You've got to do something out of nothing, right?
12:40So, France have no excuse. They played bad football this whole tournament. And they
12:44deserve to be out. Switzerland fought their way. And yes, France have bottled it.
12:49Yeah. The game management was absolutely horrible as well. You know, you're moving 3-1 up
12:54with just 10 minutes to go. You just have to keep the ball. Instead, they were trying to be fancy,
12:59you know. You need to learn the match management and game management. And for an experienced
13:03manager like Deschamps, who has played himself as a player, who has won Euros, World Cups and
13:08everything. That was baffling to me, you know. I don't know what happened to them.
13:12I think we give some credit to Switzerland as well.
13:15I mean…
13:16Absolutely. Absolutely.
13:17Switzerland buried that 3-1 down, 9 minutes to go. But they never gave up, did they, Matt?
13:22They just kept on going.
13:24Yeah. No. Like I said, they did the opposite of what the Dutch did. And they just kept fighting
13:30and kept fighting, thinking, this is unjust. We want to put this right. And they did. I just think
13:37that France did themselves no favours in doing that classic thing they do every cycle of having
13:44a dressing room bust up for some reason. You know, it's like at halftime, Nicolas and Elka
13:49came in and gave him a pep talk or something, you know. It was just like, you know what, we're so
13:56good, we're just going to shoot ourselves in the foot because no one else can do it, you know.
14:01And yeah, and they did it again. It's just like, you know, this is a round of 16, you know. This
14:05is not like the semi-finals and there's like, you know, it's real, real business. And these
14:10matches you should be just mopping up for breakfast. They just totally messed up again.
14:15The Swiss were, without being stereotypical, the Swiss were very efficient and very methodical
14:23about what they did, you know. And the way that they celebrated and showed you how much it meant
14:30for them. No one, even in Switzerland, had given them a chance for this match. But they
14:36proved everybody wrong and they well deserved it. You know, there was brilliant admiration
14:42for them in the way that they went about it. Yeah, they just enjoyed their football,
14:47you know. This is the thing, you know, this is the beauty of knockout rounds, you know, like
14:50when you're not the favourite, so when you're the underdog, you can just enjoy that moment
14:55and they just absolutely enjoyed it. And even apart from Chaka, you know,
14:59we have mentioned Seferovic, all these players, there is one guy, even Zubair,
15:03he was absolutely incredible in that game, you know. He gave them a different outlet,
15:07which we have told, you know, in the last game in the group, I would say he had three assists
15:11in that game and he made that first assist for that goal and he was good in that game, you know.
15:16Like, for the whole Switzerland team, they played brilliantly as a team, as a unit.
15:20That was the one lacking for France because they didn't play as a unit.
15:23Yeah, no, you mentioned Zubair, he done so well to get that penalty as well,
15:27but from, you know, from the keeper to the forward, each one of them, I mean,
15:31they've had probably the best game of the tournament. Is that going to be it for them,
15:35though? I mean, that tends to happen, they peak and then they can't retain that sort
15:40of level in their next match. Do you think that'll be out? Do you think that'll be all for them now?
15:47I don't think so. They should be fine. I think they can give it a fight, you know.
15:50I think that whoever they play next, I think they definitely, I think they play Spain next,
15:55right? So, look at Spain, they're nothing great. I mean, it's going to be a great game.
16:01Here comes the shuckles.
16:02It's going to be a fantastic game to watch, come on. You know, France, why can't they beat Spain?
16:07They're true.
16:10Let's get to that Spain game now. It's well done to Switzerland and bad luck to France,
16:15but moving on. And Spain saw off Croatia 5-3 in an extraordinary game.
16:23It all started with that crazy own goal. Simone, who's known from a few games in La Liga,
16:29he failed to control Pedri's back pass from 50 yards and it rolled into the back of the net to
16:33give Croatia a lucky lead. In any other game, that would have been the main talking point,
16:39but so much happened after that. The goal, you know, sparked a response from Spain.
16:44Sarabia equalised, that's where the Queta got the second, Torres got the third,
16:48but then Croatia pulled it back, made it 3-3. And then in extra time, Simone called it for
16:54great save. That could have been 4-3. And then Moretta finally got on the score sheet to silence
16:59some of his critics. And then Olazabal added a fifth. I mean, that was just incredible, wasn't it?
17:05Again, this was the earlier match last night. And like I said, we were still reeling from that one
17:11before we got into the France-Switzerland game. And that's just absolutely insane. You couldn't
17:15take your eyes off it for a minute. They had absolutely everything. And I think that,
17:20as I said to you guys last night, Dubravka of Slovakia will be breathing a sigh of relief
17:26because he's not the worst goalkeeping howler of the tournament anymore.
17:30Simone was one of those unfortunate ones. He took his eye off the ball. He was a little bit nonchalant
17:37as the ball came towards him and it just bobbled over his foot. And then it was like, oh no,
17:43here comes the memes, as I'm sure he would say. From then on, it was just like,
17:53OK, let's have a game of five-a-side. You know, it's just bang, goal, goal, goal, miss, miss,
18:03great save. It was everything. And I think that they've already booked an open top bus for Morata
18:10now that he's scored a goal. Spain, you know, that's 10 goals in two games. No one's ever done
18:18that before in the Euros, which quite obviously nobody's really ever done anything like that in
18:24the Euros. But they're still not really fancied, which is really bizarre because
18:29they score 10 goals in two games, but they're still like, I just can't wait to get to Sahil's
18:34laughter and see what he says about this. They're the keystone cops of the tournament and you just
18:45don't know what they're going to do next. Yeah, that's the thing. Talking about Alvaro
18:53Morata, man, he has missed six big stances in the Euros. That's more than anyone else.
18:59That's more than even Kylian Mbappe. But then he came up with an absolute world-class strike. He
19:04turned out to be Dennis Bergkamp with the control and volley. That was an absolute
19:09thunderstrike. We have to give him credit for that. In the extra time, in such a crunch situation,
19:15that is one of the goals of the tournament. With that angle as well.
19:18With that angle with his left foot. I don't know, he might cherish that moment for the rest of his
19:24life. But that was an absolutely incredible strike. But moment before that, like what Imran
19:28mentioned, Unai Simone made an absolutely crucial save for them because Karamarij should have scored
19:34that goal because it was straight at Unai Simone. But still, Simone, we made him as a meme in the
19:41first half with that one goal. But it was credited to Pedri. But it was clearly the mistake from
19:47Unai Simone. But ever since he conceded that goal, man, he was absolutely incredible. He was my man
19:52of the match. Because he was brilliant. I don't know how he was able to control his emotions and
19:59play that well even after making that horrendous mistake. Because if it was Kepa Arrizabalaga,
20:06I think Spain would have lost 5-0, 6-0. So, you have to give credit to the temperament of the
20:12boy. He was absolutely incredible. And Spain as a whole, like what Matty mentioned, I still don't
20:19fancy them, man. Yes, they have reached into the quarter-finals. I think they have a winnable
20:25fixture against Switzerland though Switzerland are going to give everything like what they have
20:30given against France. But still, Spain with that score, they might even reach into the semi-finals
20:36which is absolutely ridiculous to see that. But that's what football is all about.
20:41You know, Simone, he made some brilliant saves. But those kind of moments can actually
20:47change a player's career. Had it stayed 1-0, they lost 2-1 or whatever, he would have been
20:51remembered for that mistake for the rest of his life probably. But because his teammates dug him
20:57out, he did well as well. He made a fantastic save, kept him in the game. But honestly,
21:03you know, there's a bit of luck there as well. We could have been remembering the entire thing
21:06just for that one mistake.
21:10I completely agree on that. He made a good save on Kramaric. But again, Spain keep on proving to
21:17making things harder for themselves. You know, in the first 15 minutes, you see
21:21Koke missed the sitter. Morata was denied by the defender. Was it a handball or not?
21:26God knows. I think it was a handball, but it was not even a field.
21:30Again, we thought when he missed that header, we thought he's going to have another one of those nights.
21:34Yeah.
21:35The goal's over there and he's put it completely wide. No, carry on. Sorry, go on.
21:41No, no, yeah. So then Koke, I don't know how he did not score. Then Unai Simon
21:46gives that own goal. What's happening? Again, Spain are back to normal. But then,
21:50I think one guy we've not mentioned is Sarabia. He's been, I think, Spain's best player this
21:55tournament. What do you think, guys? I think he's been their best player. He scored a good goal.
21:59It was not an easy finish. Yes, it came on the rebound, but you know, to strike it well.
22:03And then from there, Spain carried on. Aspala Queta, he scored. And then Torres. But then,
22:08this guy, Mislav Orsic. I think you guys would remember his hat-trick against
22:12Tottenham in the Europa League when he finished.
22:14Yeah, yeah, yeah.
22:15This guy was toying around with each and every defender in the Spain squad.
22:19Be it Laporte, be it Aspala Queta, he was gone. He was tired. And Orsic was really,
22:24really going at him. And then they got that equalizer. And again, same old Spain in this
22:30whole tournament. But then Alvaro Morata. I feel so happy for this guy. This guy has been going
22:35through a lot in this whole tournament. You know, as Luis Enrique said, that he's getting threats
22:40from everywhere. He had to prove and he scored a beauty of a goal. Great goal. And also, let's
22:47not forget Danny Olmo. He made two brilliant crosses for that goal. So, you know, credit to
22:52Spain. But yet again, they keep proving that they're not a reliable team. But I think they
22:58should get the better of Switzerland still.
23:00See, like what Sahil mentioned, the substitutions came off the bench. They proved to be vital.
23:05Because even for Croatia, when they were 3-1 down, Dalic told them, Dalic brought in
23:12Pasalic and Orsic. And those two guys have scored. For a coach to see that his substitutes
23:19are scoring goals, that's absolutely an incredible sight to see. Then for Spain, he brought in
23:25Luis Enrique, brought in Olmo, all these guys. And even Alvaro. All of them were instrumental
23:31for them in the extra time. And the five substitutions, that rule is giving the managers
23:39an extra, you know, extra, what do you call it?
23:43And it freshens up the team completely.
23:44Yeah, it freshens up the team. Yeah, that's what we're doing.
23:48Yeah, exactly.
23:51Absolutely crazy games. Go on, Matt. Sum it up one last one.
23:53Yeah, no, I'm just going to say that you're talking about career-changing moments.
23:58Dubravka probably is still weeping in his hotel room after the dropping at the hands
24:06of Spain, ironically, in the last time out. But Simon, what I talked about professionally
24:14was that he just got on with his game. He knew he'd made an error. And we know that
24:19had it stayed like that, the Spain fans are very unforgiving. He probably wouldn't have
24:25been playing for Spain for the rest of his career, put it that way. He would be shipped
24:31out to anywhere, you know, and hopefully take his family with him because they would get
24:38abused as well. And it would have been absolutely horrible. But as it was, he really saved his
24:43own skin with that great save. And they'll be forgiving him, I think, you know.
24:50I had one question related to the goalkeeping. You guys can answer. So yeah, Unai Simon made
24:57a very bad error and he also made a fantastic save. But do we have the opportunity to say,
25:04should David De Gea start or should they stick with Unai Simon on goal? What do you guys think?
25:12Well, I think, you know, overall with that performance, yes, he made a mistake. But still,
25:17Unai Simon was brilliant throughout that game, apart from that mistake. So I think
25:20there is no need to change the keeper. Now changing the keeper and bringing on De Gea,
25:24who had a very average season, it's adding pressure to the team, the whole team again.
25:29So just continue with Unai Simon. That's what I would be if I am Enrique.
25:36Yeah, it would also give added pressure on David De Gea because everyone will be watching him.
25:42That's why, you know. And we all know he's not the greatest keeper when he's under pressure.
25:47Yeah, you're right. And also, you know, as we've all played the game,
25:50we've been taught from a young age, when you're going to do a back pass,
25:52make sure you don't do it in between the goal.
25:56Because mistakes like that can happen. You're going to get a bobble on the pitch. So
26:00Pedri had a great game, by the way. But I mean, look, he's hit that back from 50 yards.
26:04You can't blame him.
26:04There's no excuse. There's no excuse.
26:07Like Imran, I forgot to mention Pedri, man. He had an absolutely incredible game in that midfield.
26:13For like that tender age of just 18, man, he was the best player on the pitch for Spain.
26:18You know, apart from Sarabia, he had a good game. But Pedri was pulling the strings for them.
26:22And he was carrying the ball with so much of ease, man. And Iniesta can be proud of that.
26:27Matt, you mentioned Dubravka. I think he might have a Korean volleyball.
26:34He might go to Olympics.
26:36Yeah, let's move on. Two games today. Start with Sweden against Ukraine.
26:41Forsberg's good to play for Sweden. And with Isaac and the team,
26:44I think I fancy Sweden to progress. I'm going to say two-one to Sweden. What do you guys think?
26:50Oh, we can't have Switzerland, Ukraine, Croatia. This is going to be a shambolic
26:54quarterfinal lineup if Ukraine gets through. So yeah, I think I'll be rooting for Sweden 1-0.
27:02I'm no one to predict these games anymore. I know nothing about football after watching
27:08everything. I have a feeling that I have absolutely no knowledge about anything of this game.
27:17Sweden are the favourites, but you never know, man. You never know, man.
27:22So yeah, Sweden have the edge. That's what I'm saying.
27:25It's going to be equal. I can't predict this game.
27:28I hope it goes to penalties and we get another nice game.
27:31It's 2 a.m. again if that happens.
27:35Kilian Jarmelenko.
27:37Jarmelenko to score a worldy from his left foot.
27:40Yeah, it can happen. It can happen. All right, and the big one for today,
27:43England against Germany. There's going to be 40,000 fans in Wembley for this one.
27:49England haven't beaten Germany in a knockout game since 1966.
27:54And haven't conceded a goal in this tournament either. So defensively,
27:57it's been all right. Three clean sheets. We all know they haven't played very well.
28:01But Mount and Chilwell, back in the squad, they've had their 10-day isolation period.
28:06I'll take a scrappy, dirty 1-0 win just to get through.
28:10We must avoid penalties. That's the main thing.
28:13He said the P word.
28:16Yeah, I think England will be too strong today.
28:18I think that with Chilwell coming back as that backup in the back four,
28:23and also Mason Mount coming in as support, which would take some pressure off Harry Kane.
28:31Yeah, they've got the options of Grealish or Foden.
28:36And they've got Sterling.
28:38They'll just have too many options. If something doesn't work, Southgate can switch things around.
28:43Germany will just have a plan A, and that'll be it.
28:47And I think 2-0 is pretty easy for England.
28:52Big call. Big call from a Scotsman.
29:00For me, yes, England are the favourites because they have the team and the squad.
29:05But like what we've mentioned about the Shoms, Southgate has to get his team selection right.
29:10He has to get his formation right. Because he has got all the plethora of talents with him.
29:15So, I know he's not going to get it right. So, I'm going with Germany.
29:19And I think Germany are there for the taking. But still, Germans are going to win this game.
29:28I'm supporting England. You guys know that since the start.
29:32Look, England have been pretty rubbish this tournament, attacking.
29:35Let's be honest here. But I don't care how they play.
29:38Just get over the line. Pray that you get an own goal by one German player.
29:42Just get over the line.
29:43Come on!
29:44Goal, one goal. That's all.
29:46And just don't concede. Three clean sheets, which is great.
29:49But just score one goal and don't concede.
29:52See, however sceptical the German defence is, they thrive on this kind of situation.
29:58When they get into the knockout rounds, they are a different animal.
30:01So, I wish Germans to go through, yeah.
30:08We've had nine own goals in a tournament so far. So, it could well be…
30:11Praying for one more just for England. Just one.
30:15How many teams do you support, Sahil?
30:17I support England only. But just for fun, I support in one particular game.
30:20But you know, if England win, they get an easy team.
30:23You know, Sweden or Ukraine.
30:24It's just this one hurdle they have to get through. Just this one hurdle. That's all.
30:28I hope our Swedish and Ukrainian fans are not listening to that.
30:34I hope Andriy Shevchenko is listening to that.
30:39Put it up in the dressing room wall.
30:41We're rambling on too much now. Thank you both, all three of you.
