00:00The second problem is local rice. I have always raised this issue and many other colleagues have also raised it.

00:08Earlier, the Minister did not explain where to go for more local rice than imported rice.

00:14Now in the market, there is more imported rice.

00:18I met with one of the largest rice producers in Malaysia.

00:24What surprised me was when he told me that what is happening in the rice industry is a mixture of local rice and imported rice.

00:36So there is imported rice, local rice is also mixed, but it is described as imported rice.

00:43And imported rice, as mentioned earlier, is placed at a much higher price.

00:49Local rice may be Rp. 26 for 10 kg.

00:52Imported rice is Rp. 40-41 for one pot of 10 kg.

00:58So this is a practice, not that it is unhealthy, but a practice of deception.

01:04The Minister mentioned earlier that he cannot solve the existing laws.

01:10Because the laws are quite limited.

01:12Actually, there are many other laws.

01:15I remember when I was the Minister of Trade in the past,

01:20we had a trade license.

01:23If you want to sell something, it must be verified.

01:26What is the product? Imported, imported.

01:29Mixed, mixed. Local products, local products.

01:32This did not happen.

01:33And I expect that a number of people involved in the industry have made billions of rupiahs.

01:42I would like to suggest that the government should consider

01:46making a white paper for the rice and paddy industry in the country.

01:51And this will take a little more comprehensive time.

01:55When the Minister said 6 months, then 6 months,

01:58how can it be 6 months, 6 months?

02:00This cannot be solved.

02:02If the suggestion is made like we did for Felda first,

02:06and many industries have discussed the issue of white paper,

02:11then we can implement it in a comprehensive way.

02:15That is my suggestion.
