00:00The target of the Department of Agriculture is to bring to the supermarkets the rice-for-all program launched by the President

00:09so that it can bring closer to the people the cheaper rice in the country.

00:14Meanwhile, the DA announced the temporary ban on the import of animal products from Germany.

00:26The Department of Agriculture is already planning to put the rice-for-all program of the President in the supermarkets.

00:33According to the Department of Agriculture Secretary Francisco True Laurel Jr.,

00:37their grocery chains have already given interest for the rice-for-all program.

00:43We have already given interest. Actually, we have been talking to the FDI.

00:49Almost all want to join.

00:55From Php 15,000 to Php 17,000 is the number of branches of some of the DA's groceries.

01:01The logistics aspect is already looking good.

01:05And the credit aspect because we have to work within their systems also.

01:11The RFA has already started the rollout of rice-for-all in the supermarkets in March.

01:16The DA has been giving Php 2 to Php 3 for the price of rice-for-all since yesterday

01:21which can be bought for Php 33 to Php 43 per kilo depending on the type.

01:26Meanwhile, the Department of Agriculture announced the temporary ban on the import of animal products from Germany

01:34such as products such as ultra-high temperature milk, heat-treated meat products, and semi-processed leather.

01:41The export of meat products will also be allowed in transit or arrived in the country before December 26 last year.

01:49This is followed by the spread of foot and mouth disease in livestock in the country.
