00:00The world's top politicians, leaders and economists will be gathering this week at
00:05Snowy Davos in Switzerland for the annual World Economic Forum, where topping the lists
00:10of topics they will be discussing will be climate change, globalization and finally
00:15mental health.
00:16And that is what they're scheduled to discuss, but there will be some elephants in the room,
00:19most prominently US-China trade tensions and Brexit.
00:23And that is because the top politicians in these two battles will not be at Davos.
00:27US President Donald Trump benched the White House theme that was supposed to go to Davos
00:31and Prime Minister Theresa May from the UK also said she will not be going to Davos this
00:35year in order to focus on Brexit.
00:37In other news, it's earnings season both locally and internationally, so expect companies to
00:42be reporting their results for the fourth quarter of 2018 this week.
00:45We've already seen results from Emirates NBD from Dubai and internationally we're expected
00:50to see results from Starbucks, Johnson & Johnson, Ford and IBM this week.
