India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with French president Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday. He later arrived in Marseille on the third day of his official visit to France, and received a rousing welcome from the Indian diaspora there. PM Modi also paid homage to prominent freedom fighter Veer Savarkar. Both PM Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron will inaugurate the Indian consulate. They will also visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project, a significant international collaboration in nuclear fusion research. Meanwhile, PM Modi also addressed the 14th India-France CEO Forum in Paris. Both the leaders pledged deeper economic cooperation by both the countries. Prior to this, he co-chaired the AI Action Summit with President Emmanuel Macron. The event was attended by global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts.
