00:01 And welcome back to the White House.

00:07 Almost exactly 10 years ago,
00:09 when I visited Mumbai as Vice President,
00:12 I emphasized how important it was for India
00:15 and the United States to continue building a partnership
00:18 small steps, small steps at a time.
00:22 Over that past 10 years,
00:24 those small steps have transformed
00:26 into large progress.

00:32 I want to thank you, Mr. Prime Minister,
00:34 for your decision to -- and hosting the G20 this year
00:39 and focusing the world on the challenges that matter
00:42 not just to you and I and our countries,
00:43 but to all of us.
00:45 I look forward to discussing
00:46 how we can strengthen our partnership
00:48 and build a future together worthy of both our peoples --
00:52 one grounded on democracy, human rights,
00:57 freedom, and the rule of law.
