00:04has repeatedly pointed out the situation of informal settlers in the country.

00:09Here is Joshua Garcia's report.

00:19in the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development.

00:21According to the Assistant Secretary Rizalino Acuzar,

00:24in his interview with Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon,

00:26the President is sincere in his promise to provide housing

00:29to all Filipinos, particularly those in the province.

00:33The President's order is heavy. It needs to be completed.

00:37Because the President loves those who will suffer,

00:39especially the squatters.

00:41Because his father, his father,

00:43he created the Tundu Development Project.

00:46So that's what our program is all about.

00:50So that those who will suffer will benefit from the time of the Marcos administration.

00:54The DND of Kalihim gave the initiatives of the Marcos administration

00:58to ensure that the government's houses can be reached

01:01through the subsidy.

01:03What is interesting is that to reduce the monthly amortization,

01:07if you are given an interest,

01:09your monthly salary will automatically decrease.

01:13If the monthly salary decreases, it will be difficult.

01:21Acuzar also emphasized how they were able to solve

01:25the lack of funds in 2024 for the government's housing program,

01:29where there was a lack of cooperation and assistance

01:32in the private sector and other government agencies.

01:35Aside from being climate resilient,

01:37the DND also ensured that the houses were built with sufficient facilities

01:41and will be built under the National Housing for the Filipino Housing or 4PH Program

01:46while continuing the relocation of those living in danger zones.

01:51Now, in 2025, the DND will continue their mandate

01:54where the agency will focus more on the informal settler families or ISF,

01:59which is also in accordance with President Marcos Jr.'s promise

02:01of housing for all before his term ends.
