03:44Peace be upon you.
03:46How are you?
03:48May Allah bless you.
03:50If you allow me,
03:52I would like to start today's program.
03:54Start by reciting the name of Allah.
03:56In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
03:58Jazakumullah.
04:00I would like to ask you,
04:02what is the meaning of Shab-e-Baraat?
04:04I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed.
04:06In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
04:08This is from Baraat.
04:10In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
04:12Shab-e-Baraat is a combination of two words.
04:14Shab means night in Farsi.
04:16And Baraat is an Arabic word.
04:18It means salvation.
04:20You can translate it as
04:22Shab-e-Baraat means
04:24the night of salvation from hell.
04:26As far as the other names
04:28of this blessed night are concerned,
04:30Hazrat Mulla Ali Qari
04:32says that there are
04:34four more names.
04:36It is called by four names.
04:38There are other names as well.
04:40One is called
04:42Laylat-ul-Mubarakah,
04:44Laylat-ul-Baraat,
04:46Laylat-ul-Swaqqih,
04:48Laylat-ul-Rahmat.
04:50And similarly,
04:52it is also called
04:54Laylat-ul-Rahma,
04:56Laylat-ul-Rahmat.
04:58Because in this night,
05:00Allah Almighty,
05:02according to the Hadith,
05:04descends on the sky of the world,
05:06and like the goats of the tribe
05:08that is, He forgives
05:10many Muslims.
05:12Therefore, it is called
05:14Shab-e-Baraat.
05:16Some say that it is also
05:18called Laylat-ul-Ijabat.
05:20Because in this,
05:22Allah Almighty offers
05:24that whatever prayer is asked
05:26is accepted.
05:28And some also say
05:30that it is also called
05:32Laylat-ul-Takfeer.
05:34That is, it is the night
05:36in which Allah Almighty
05:38descends on the sky of the world.
05:40And you can see further.
05:42Mashallah.
05:44Why is Shab-e-Baraat
05:46called Shab-e-Baraat?
05:48What is the meaning of Baraat?
05:50And what are its other names?
05:52I will listen to you,
05:54Alima Sadaf Parveen.
05:56And tell me,
05:58if you will shed light on
06:00the truth and excellence
06:02of Shab-e-Baraat,
06:04i.e. whether it is proven
06:06or not,
06:08it is proven by Ahadith-e-Karima.
06:10And more or less,
06:12apart from Hazrat Ayesha,
06:14ten companions
06:16have narrated Ahadith about it.
06:18If I want to mention the names
06:20of those companions,
06:22they are Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq,
06:24Sayyiduna Ali,
06:26Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ashqari,
06:28Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas,
06:30Sayyiduna Muaz bin Jabal,
06:32Sayyiduna Abu Huraira,
06:34Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ashqari,
06:36and other companions
06:38who are mentioned
06:40in this list.
06:42So,
06:44as narrated by
06:46Hazrat Ayesha,
06:48Allah Almighty forgives
06:50the sins of the tribe of Bani Kalb
06:52equal to the number of goats.
06:54And there is another narration
06:56that Hazrat Ayesha says
06:58that Prophet Muhammad
07:00opens the doors of
07:02the mercy of Allah Almighty
07:04in four nights.
07:06And the nights that you have
07:08mentioned are the night of Baqara-e-Eid,
07:10the night of Eid-ul-Fitr,
07:12and the 15th of Shaban,
07:14which is the night of Shab-e-Bara'at.
07:16And in this, you have said
07:18that the names of those who die,
07:20the names of those who provide sustenance
07:22and those who perform Hajj this year are written.
07:24And the fourth night that you have mentioned
07:26is the night of Arafah
07:28and the night of Fajr.
07:30And the second narration is
07:32from Hazrat Muaz bin Jabal.
07:34He says that Prophet Muhammad
07:36said that the one who spends
07:38five nights in bedar,
07:40that is, he worships,
07:42then heaven is obligatory for him.
07:44Now, this heaven is obligatory.
07:46This is obvious.
07:48You will know from the Hadith.
07:50So, it is proven.
07:52Now, which night is it?
07:54It is said in it,
07:56that is, the night of Eid-ul-Qurban,
07:58and the night of
08:00Laylat-ul-Arafah,
08:02and the night of Eid-ul-Fitr,
08:04and the night of Shab-e-Bara'at.
08:06Similarly,
08:08there is a narration from
08:10Hazrat Sayyiduna Abu Mama Bahiri,
08:12that Prophet Muhammad said
08:14that in five nights,
08:16prayer is not rejected.
08:18Allah accepts prayer.
08:20And in that,
08:22there is the first night of Rajab,
08:24and there is Shab-e-Jumaa.
08:26Similarly, there is Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha.
08:28So, he counted these nights.
08:30Similarly, there is a narration
08:32from Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali Murtaza,
08:34that Prophet Muhammad said
08:36that when the
08:38fifteenth night of Shaban comes,
08:40then worship in it,
08:42and fast during the day.
08:44Because as soon as the night begins,
08:46Allah Almighty with His mercy
08:48descends on the sky of the world.
08:50And then this prayer is done
08:52till dawn,
08:54that is there anyone who is in need of forgiveness,
08:56that I forgive him.
08:58Is there anyone who is in need of
09:00livelihood, that I give him livelihood.
09:02Is there anyone who is in need of health,
09:04that I give him health.
09:06So, these are some narrations,
09:08which are narrated in relation to
09:10the reality of Shab-e-Bara'at.
09:12We pray to Allah Almighty,
09:14that we get a lot of blessings in this night.
09:16Subhanallah, subhanallah.
09:18The sister spoke about blessings,
09:20and the sisters are waiting
09:22for bonus offers and golden opportunities.
09:24So,
09:26Shaban is
09:28the month of the Prophet,
09:30but this is a golden offer.
09:32So, you have to try
09:34to spend this night
09:36in as much worship as possible.
09:38And what should happen,
09:40and in relation to its reality,
09:42why is it called Shab-e-Bara'at,
09:44what are the other rituals,
09:46let's go to Hazrat Sahab.
09:48Bismillah-e-Rahman-e-Rahim
09:50Sallallahu ala Habibi Muhammadin wa ala alihi wa sahbihi
09:52wa baraka wa sallam
09:54Shab-e-Bara'at is
09:56called Shab-e-Bara'at in Farsi.
09:58And,
10:00let me explain,
10:02many people say that
10:04Shab-e-Bara'at is called Shab-e-Bara'at
10:06without Hamza.
10:08So, many people
10:10correct themselves
10:12in their assumptions.
10:14I have seen that
10:16some people think that
10:18Shab-e-Bara'at is Barat,
10:20so people call it Shab-e-Bara'at.
10:22Barat is called Barat.
10:24So, it is not Barat,
10:26but Barat.
10:28In Arabic, Barat is called
10:30Chutkara, Najat.
10:32So, it is Shab-e-Bara'at.
10:34So, let me clarify that
10:36it is correct that
10:38it is also called Shab-e-Bara'at
10:40with Hamza.
10:42But, in Urdu,
10:44it is called Shab-e-Bara'at.
10:46The reason for this is that
10:48it is not Barat,
10:50but Barat itself is a word in Urdu.
10:52If you look at the Urdu dictionary,
10:54it is clearly stated
10:56that Barat is called
10:58Hissa,
11:00Hissa, Bakhra, Barat.
11:02So, Shab-e-Bara'at means Hissa.
11:04There is another saying
11:06that
11:08angels are called
11:10Sarat, Taqdeer.
11:12So, angels make decisions
11:14according to one saying.
11:16One saying is that
11:18decisions are made in Laila-tul-Qadr.
11:20Another saying is Shab-e-Bara'at.
11:22So, according to that saying,
11:24it is called Shab-e-Bara'at.
11:26It means the night of decisions,
11:28the night of getting shares,
11:30the night of getting blessings.
11:32And there are explanations
11:34in the dictionary.
11:36In Urdu, if someone calls it
11:38Shab-e-Bara'at without Hamza,
11:40it is used in Urdu and Farsi.
11:42And in Urdu,
11:44Farsi is used more than Arabic.
11:46If someone uses it with Hamza,
11:48like in Arabic,
11:50it is called Laila-tul-Bara'a.
11:52If someone uses the same Arabic word
11:54in Urdu or Farsi,
11:56it is also okay.
11:58But when it is used with Hamza,
12:00it is written as Alif.
12:02This is wrong in Urdu and Farsi.
12:04Hamza will be written separately.
12:06And because of this,
12:08people read it wrongly.
12:10We have often seen that
12:12if you write the word correctly,
12:14it is Kira'at.
12:16Alif is separate and Hamza is separate.
12:18But because people make a mistake
12:20in writing it,
12:22they put Hamza on Alif.
12:24So, people read what is written
12:26and read it as Kira'at.
12:28It is not Kira'at, it is Kira'at.
12:30Similarly, Bara'at will come
12:32after Hamza and Alif.
12:34They write Hamza on Alif.
12:36People read it as Bara'at.
12:38Because Hamza is on Alif.
12:40So, Alif is separate and Hamza is separate.
12:42You have explained it to the writers.
12:44So, Shab-e-Bara'at is a separate word.
12:46It is correct in its place.
12:48Shab-e-Bara'at is also correct in its place.
12:50Both these names are used for this night.
12:52Subhan Allah.
12:54Hamza will be written separately
12:56because it is not Bara'at.
12:58It is Bara'at.
13:00This is the reference with which
13:02Ustad Sahib spoke.
13:04May Allah bless you all.
13:06May Allah bless you all.
13:08Ladies and gentlemen,
13:10you are learning the rules of Deen.
13:12This is the beautiful Kavish of ARYQ TV
13:14whose title is Deen and Khawateen.
13:16Today, we are talking about
13:18Shab-e-Bara'at.
13:20Scholars are present on this side.
13:22Before the break,
13:24Faiz Baksh, Faiz Gustar,
13:26Faiz Rasan, our elders, our Sheikh
13:28Mufti Sahib was explaining to us
13:30about Shab-e-Bara'at.
13:32He also explained to us how to write it.
13:34Please complete your point, Huzoor.
13:36Yes, I was requesting
13:38about the name of Shab-e-Bara'at.
13:40In Urdu, under Persian,
13:42Shab-e-Bara'at is said
13:44without Hamza.
13:46This is also correct in its place.
13:48The word Bara'at is not being spoiled.
13:50In fact, the word Bara'at is a separate
13:52and permanent word. It is an Arabic word.
13:54And Bara'at without Hamza
13:56is a separate word of Persian.
13:58There is also a word of Hindi.
14:00Shab-e-Bara'at is not that.
14:02It is a Persian Bara'at.
14:04As I mentioned earlier,
14:06in comparison to Arabic,
14:08Persian is more prevalent.
14:10As you can see,
14:12the whole structure is Persian.
14:14Persian structure is also famous
14:16that it should be used in Persian style.
14:18Shab-e-Bara'at is also a Persian word.
14:20The structure is also Persian.
14:22The addition and subtraction
14:24is also in Persian style.
14:26So the word should also be Persian.
14:28So Shab-e-Bara'at is absolutely
14:30correct. It is not wrong.
14:32If someone says Shab-e-Bara'at
14:34with the meaning of Laylat-ul-Bara'at,
14:36it is also fine.
14:38But Shab-e-Bara'at is correct
14:40and it is not Bara'at.
14:42And I have also said that
14:44its reference is also in Musnad-e-Logat.
14:46I will also give a reference.
14:48It is a very famous Urdu logat
14:50Farhang-e-Asfiya.
14:52I said Urdu's logat because
14:54the word of logat is also grammatically
14:56correct.
14:58In our language,
15:00Mu'annas is used.
15:02So it is also correct to call
15:04the logat Mu'annas.
15:06But in reality,
15:08the logat is Mudakkar.
15:10Mu'annas will also work now.
15:12But the original is Mudakkar.
15:14So the Urdu's Musnad-e-Logat
15:16Farhang-e-Asfiya
15:18is also in Urdu's Musnad-e-Logat
15:20Farhang-e-Asfiya.
15:22So Shab-e-Bara'at is
15:24correct.
15:26Mashallah, Subhanallah, Barakallah, Taqabbalillah.
15:28I will listen to you.
15:30What is the detail of Shab-e-Bara'at's
15:32Roza?
15:34If we see from Shab-e-Bara'at's
15:36Qat-e-Nazar,
15:38the night of Shaban-ul-Mawzum
15:40or the 15th of Shaban,
15:42there is a command of
15:44Prophet Muhammad
15:46Jareer bin Abdullah
15:48that
15:50Prophet Muhammad
15:52Jareer bin Abdullah
15:54said that
15:56the whole life is equal to
15:58fasting.
16:00So the command is already there.
16:02Other than this,
16:04Prophet Muhammad
16:06Jareer bin Abdullah
16:08said that
16:10worship in this night
16:12and fast in the day.
16:14Similarly,
16:16the provision is distributed in this night.
16:18In this night,
16:20there is a Hadith of Prophet Muhammad
16:22that
16:24there is a month between Rajab and Ramadhan.
16:26Many people are unaware of this.
16:28In that too, Prophet Muhammad
16:30stated the reason for
16:32fasting in this night.
16:34He said that he likes
16:36to fast when his deeds reach
16:38Allah's court.
16:40Other than this,
16:42the majority of Muslims
16:44fast in this night.
16:46It is permissible to fast.
16:48If you are able,
16:50you should fast in this night.
16:52Worship in this night.
16:54If you cannot worship
16:56in this night,
16:58you should do something
17:00to get the blessings of this night.
17:02Do not deprive yourself of the blessings.
17:04Subhanallah.
17:06I will listen to you.
17:08In the last program,
17:10Mufti Sahab guided us.
17:12On the occasion of Shab-e-Baraat,
17:14it is common
17:16that people send
17:18forgiveness letters,
17:20written messages,
17:22text messages, forwarded messages.
17:24If we have made a mistake,
17:26please forgive us.
17:28We need forgiveness.
17:30This entire list is sent.
17:32In this way,
17:34when sisters meet someone,
17:36they say
17:38that if Shab-e-Baraat is coming,
17:40we have made a mistake,
17:42please forgive us.
17:44How do you see this type of forgiveness?
17:46Actually,
17:48there is a reason behind it.
17:50Why is forgiveness being asked?
17:52Where the benefits of Shab-e-Baraat
17:54have been described,
17:56there are some people who
17:58are deprived of forgiveness.
18:00This is a Hadith.
18:02Among those who are deprived,
18:04number one is
18:06drunkards,
18:08disobedient parents,
18:10adultery,
18:12gamblers,
18:14sorcerers,
18:16magicians,
18:18and those who keep
18:20enmity with each other.
18:22They are deprived of forgiveness.
18:24If there is a fight,
18:26enmity,
18:28the real reason is to remove it.
18:30In the tradition,
18:32it is said to leave them
18:34as well.
18:36If there is a quarrel
18:38between two people,
18:40it is said to leave them
18:42as well.
18:44They are deprived of forgiveness.
18:46Therefore,
18:48people used to
18:50forgive each other
18:52before this night.
18:54But now,
18:56this has become a trend in our society.
18:58We have to send a message
19:00whether we know
19:02someone or not.
19:04This is not right.
19:06If you have really made a mistake,
19:08then you should
19:10meet the person
19:12in person.
19:14If you have
19:16physically or mentally
19:18hurt him,
19:20then you should
19:22treat him as per his rights.
19:24If he forgives you,
19:26then it is okay.
19:28But if he does not,
19:30then you should pray for him.
19:32If you have wronged him,
19:34then it can be a
19:36serious issue.
19:38Therefore, you should
19:40approach him.
19:42If you cannot,
19:44then you should
19:46contact him
19:48and try to convince him.
19:50But if you do not know him,
19:52you should not
19:54harass him.
19:56You should not
19:58forgive him.
20:00We should not
20:02wait for Shab-e-Baraat
20:04to forgive us.
20:06As soon as you realize
20:08that you have made a mistake,
20:10then you should
20:12ask him
20:14to forgive you.
20:16You should not
20:18ask him
20:20to forgive you
20:22for hurting you.
20:24You should ask him
20:26to forgive you
20:28from his heart.
20:30Otherwise,
20:32you will receive
20:34only one message
20:36from him.
20:38You will receive
20:40only one message
20:42from him.
20:44You will receive
20:46only one message
20:48from him.
20:50You will receive
20:52only one message
20:54from him.
20:56You will receive
20:58only one message
21:00from him.
