00:00Donald Trump's threats to somehow force the hand of Jordan and of Egypt to accept the
00:08residents of Gaza, of a Gaza that would be emptied of its population, have brought the
00:13Egyptian government today to say that if Donald Trump continues on this route, this would
00:19obviate the Oslo agreements, the Oslo, sorry, the Camp David agreements, forgive me.
00:27The Camp David agreements were the first agreements, a historic document made with American mediation
00:34during the Carter presidency.
00:36It was the first peace accord between an Arab nation and the state of Israel.
00:41This accord, while sometimes warmer and sometimes chillier, this accord has saved untold thousands
00:49of lives.
00:50From the signing of that accord, there were no more wars and no more killing on the Israeli-Egyptian
00:56border, which had been one of the worst, one of the most bloody since the establishment
01:01of the state of Israel.
01:03And so we're talking right now about risks, certainly risks to the hostages, risks to
01:09the social fabric of the state of Israel, risks to Gazans.
01:14But we're also talking about, I think, the visible threat of a kind of shredding of the
01:21fabric of this region, which could still, I have to say, get quite a bit worse.
