00:00I think that every individual is actually powerful. I do believe that. And
00:14it's up to you to embrace your power and use it in a positive way each and every
00:21single day. And there are days that you have low energy or you're not feeling
00:27really great or this made you upset. That's normal, but you don't let that
00:33keep you down. You just keep moving and keep, you know, sticking to whatever your
00:38goal might be. Having it all as individual, we don't all want necessarily
00:44the same things other than happiness, good health, and sort of basic stuff. But
00:50what we want is the freedom to have our wishes.
00:59In the Academy, no. Well, in America, you know, little things here or there. But
01:08certainly through my life it's all gotten much, much, much, much better. And
01:12what is the best is the ability to change things, you know, and to help
01:17evolve, enlighten, and move forward in any way.
01:23The movies. I mean, I still love movies. I've been in this business a very long
01:28time and I still love movies. So an evening that celebrates movies and to be
01:36amongst, you know, now I get to sit down front. So to be amongst all the stars
01:40that you always see. And even though I've been doing this for a long time, I'm
01:45still, like, excited.
01:49We are one year in and certainly our class of 2016, our new members, was the
01:59largest we've ever had and the most inclusive that we have ever had. And part
02:03of our A2020 initiative is inclusion of gender, of people of color, and
02:10worldwide. The recognition of talent everywhere and worldwide. The importance
02:16of A2020 is for our organization. It is about our membership and our
02:21governance. And because the Academy is involved in every aspect of
02:28filmmaking, our members get a chance to sort of, you know, carry the
02:35conversation everywhere else.
02:41I think it's human nature that whenever it is that we want something to change,
02:44we want it now. And certainly, I would say, in America, we want it now. You
02:49know, if you have a headache, you want it over in 10 seconds. You know what I
02:51mean? So we, but that's a good thing. I think that that keeps the motivation
02:56moving and keeps us going forward. And you don't stop.
