00:00I'm standing in front of the World Trade Center polling station for the 2015 Federal National

00:10Council elections, where Emiratis will be coming in to cast their votes for their preferred

00:15candidates.

00:16The FNC looks into Emiratis' needs and demands and pushes it forward to the government and

00:21the ministries, both of which put the plans into action.

00:25Twenty candidates are voted for by the public, while the remaining twenty are elected by

00:29the Electoral College and the rulers of the Emirates.

00:33I came here today because I think the voting, the national voting, it is very important

00:39for us to share in it as locals.

00:41The benefit of voting, God willing, is that the members of the National Council will improve

00:52some of the things that we have noticed in the country and, God willing, we wish them

00:58all the best, God willing, in serving the country, God willing.

01:01I nominated her because she is the director of the girls' club in Dubai, and she is

01:06she is a hard worker and she solves the problems of the disabled.

01:12If the disabled don't work, and if they do, they have problems at work or anywhere, she

01:17is not short of helping them.

01:20Voting is a national duty, every citizen must participate in it.

01:23This is what they should do, and it is the least we can do for our country.

01:27An overall good turnout in polling stations across the country shows their commitment

01:31to this national duty.
