00:24tends to have a more relaxed atmosphere. Ladies Day at Aintree on the Friday of the race meet
00:29is renowned for its famous fashion. The limelight shines not just on the champion horses and
00:34jockeys but Liverpool's best dressed. The culmination of the festival is Grand National
00:39Day on the Saturday. There is no official dress code at the Grand National with organisers
00:44encouraging race goers to come dressed to feel your best. However, fancy dress is not
00:49allowed and spectators are asked to avoid wearing sports kits. Car parking must be booked
00:53in advance but the majority get there by public transport with Aintree train station just
00:57across the road from the racecourse itself.
