00:22I am here at the Bharat Thakur Yoga Centre at Angsana Spa in Dubai Marina to find out
00:29something about what is called Laughter Yoga.

00:59Real laughter and fake laughter, there is no distinction.
01:05The body is unable to distinguish between the two.
01:09Even if you laugh in a fake manner, the body has the same physiological effects as proper
01:15hearty real laughter.
01:16We are used to doing yoga which is slow, calm, meditative and suddenly when we ask students
01:21to laugh, they are very wary of the guy standing on the next mat, the other yoga student.
01:26So they find it a bit intimidating firstly and they don't laugh heartily but then over
01:31the course of time they begin to enjoy.
01:33If you want to do it on your own, one of the funniest ways to do it is to do it with a
01:37mirror.
01:38You can look into a mirror, you can laugh, it will help break a lot of barriers of people
01:43laughing at you if you are just pointing at yourself in a mirror and laughing.
01:47You can have some music play, you can watch some funny movie put on by Charlie Chaplin
01:50or something and just laugh to yourself.
01:53In this life with too much of stress and all that, we don't get to laugh, we just forget
01:57about laughing.
01:58We do every other thing, it's a very strenuous kind of life.
02:02All the time keep smiling, this is very important.
02:05We say even in our country, if you are smiling, the life will be smiling to you.
02:14That's very important to change our life, to be best and better.

02:32But, a 10 minute session was enough, not just to lighten my mood but to boost my confidence
02:38and I think I am ready to take on the world.
