00:00I've visited 220 cities in a 12 month period, it's been an amazing experience and I've met
00:09a lot of people along the way. You know the music business is often lost in fame and fortune
00:15and this red carpet and that award and touring is something very different. It's about being
00:20with a band and crew, getting up on stage and playing every night and being welcomed
00:25in different places and we've had a phenomenal experience. We've gone to some really wonderful
00:29places, I'd say Beirut was one of my favourites, the most amazing audience and yeah, great
00:34to finish here in Dubai.
00:35My latest album is more upbeat, yeah, well really because I've written a few miserable
00:39songs and I'm not that miserable. I picked up an electric guitar this time and it's just
00:44allowed me to write the songs I always wanted to write, which you know, some faster ones.
00:48It's supposed to be as emotional as you can possibly make it, it's not there to fill a
00:51wall space, it's supposed to come from the heart and be honest, you're not posing or
00:57posturing to yourself and so I don't know what kind of songs I'll write, whether they'll
01:02be happy or sad, it depends on life and who knows what's coming up in the future.
01:06I think the media in Britain definitely needs to sort its act out, yeah absolutely and it
01:13sounds like they're doing that.
01:14Hey I'm James Blunt and you're watching GNTV.
