00:00Congratulations! So when Mike asked you to come back was that a surprise or had
00:04you kind of always known that was on the table?
00:06No, I mean when we did season one it was pitched to us as a limited series, one
00:10and done and so
00:11after season two I was just cheering for
00:15everyone else like you know when you know watching from home so I didn't
00:18I didn't think there was a another chapter for Belinda so I was so excited
00:22to find out there would be.
00:24What did you think when you kind of read Thailand and read the
00:27journey for Belinda this time?
00:29Yeah I mean truly I said yes to Mike before I knew where we were going or any
00:32of the scripts
00:33but after I binged, I mean binge read
00:37all of the scripts I was so over the moon and just excited
00:42yeah for this story. And as kind of the one returner were you like giving advice
00:47to these
00:47cast members or how did that work? I mean I used to be a teacher back in the day so I
00:52tried to impart my wisdom to them and tell them to expect anything and
00:56you know shooting on location is not an easy thing and so a lot of it was just
01:00like tips and tricks you know
01:01sneak a granola bar in your bag because we're going you know we're going far
01:05or something. Yeah it was really nice to be received in that way and
01:09you know support them. Mike has said these two are
01:12this one is darker than the past two. How do you kind of feel about that?
01:16I agree but I also think that light and dark necessitate each other and so even
01:20though there is a lot of dark there's a lot of light.
01:23And the themes this season? What can you kind of say about the themes?
01:27Yeah I think this is the story of how we close the gap between who we are, who we
01:33were, and who we want to be right and I think that's a hard thing and
01:36wherever you go there you are so you have a bunch of people that are going on
01:39vacation hoping to leave
01:41you know that version of themselves back home and they have to meet
01:45you know themselves and you know you
01:48you can only change your mirror so many times and then you realize now that's
01:52you so it's really cool to see these characters wrestle with those demons and
01:57it makes sense especially being in Thailand.
01:59Yeah. I know Jennifer Coolidge this season you obviously experienced the first one
02:03with her. What was that like not having that kind of energy as part of this?
02:08Yeah I mean it's a little bit of a phantom limb you know it was that we
02:11spent so much time together the first season especially because we weren't
02:13permitted to leave you know the resort and but she was so supportive and sent
02:17me some encouraging text when it was announced that I would do it so super
02:21sweet.
