00:00It's a stressful look, I would imagine.
00:02It's a, it's, it's, I love this look so much.
00:05And there's a couple precarious pieces.
00:08So, uh, any, any favorite films, any favorite shows of the year
00:12that you're kind of rooting for here?
00:14Definitely. I love The Brutalist.
00:16And I'm so happy that they're getting the recognition that they deserve.
00:20I also loved Brady's speech at the Golden Globes
00:23about empowering artists and centering them in their own work.
00:26And that this kind of film is the result of empowering so many artists.
00:31It's true. There's so many things about it that I feel like at a studio level
00:34they might immediately shut down.
00:36And we would have been stripped of the privilege of watching this film.
00:39Um, and there's so many others.
00:42The Substance I loved. Uh, yeah.
00:45Yeah, should we have more intermissions in our films?
00:47Are you pro that?
00:48Maybe. Who doesn't want an ice cream break in the middle of a movie?
00:52Me, I want it.
00:54Just a little addition to things.
00:56Uh, Superman coming up. We got a few trailers out.
00:59How have you kind of felt about the reaction so far from the fans?
01:02It's been so overwhelming in a really positive way.
01:05I can't believe how many people watched that trailer.
01:09I've said it before and I feel like I'm at the risk of sounding totally corny at this point,
01:13but it was such a joy to work on.
01:16You know, James and Peter Safran on the DC side,
01:19they just, James has been dreaming of making a Superman movie for so many years.
01:23And to be a part of somebody else realizing their dream like that,
01:27it just brings a totally different energy to the set every day.
01:30Um, and for David, you know, it was, it was, uh,
01:33David is such a Superman nerd.
01:35And it was just a blast.
01:37So to feel that kind of energy reflected back at us has just been so encouraging.
01:42Did you kind of talk to any previous Lois Lanes?
01:45It's kind of a pretty strong group there.
01:47The group is incredible.
01:49I didn't, but I did talk to a lot of journalists.
01:52I felt like I was focused on the journalism piece.
01:54I spoke to a handful of journalists who really helped me get inside the head of a modern reporter.
02:00I feel like one of the interesting things about this character is that
02:03she's changed so much from her inception to kind of reflect
02:06what it would look like to be a modern, relentless,
02:12kind of intense, slightly messy reporter of that time.
02:17And so I feel like I really relied on the handful of journalists I spoke to
02:22to help me build her for now.
02:24And Amy Sherman-Palladino I know has a new show coming.
02:26I mean, are you two going to get back together at some point?
02:29I saw her two weeks ago in, maybe less, in New York.
02:34We talk about it every time we see each other.
02:36We're brainstorming.
02:38Yeah.
02:40But I got to visit the set of Etoile out in Paris briefly.
02:43Watched Luke and his element.
02:45Yeah, I mean, I can't wait for the show.
