00:00Remember last year's Duncan-Dunkings ad? They were back for the 2025 Super Bowl,
00:05with a bit of an overhaul in terms of casting and a lot of weirdness.
00:10If you didn't catch the 2024 ad, it featured Ben Affleck embarrassing his then-wife,
00:15Jennifer Lopez, a keyboard-playing Tom Brady, and a less-than-enthused Matt Damon.
00:20Sometimes it's really hard to be your friend, man."
00:22Duncan and Affleck were back for 2025 with Dunkings 2 The Movie,
00:27an over-the-top, star-studded sequel to the original. At just under seven minutes long,
00:32it basically is a movie in the advertising world. But Ben's now-ex-wife,
00:36J.Lo, didn't return this time, and neither did Damon or Brady.
00:40Where the hell are Matt and Tom?
00:41Forget them suckers. Matt Damon and Tom Brady don't have the heart of a champion.
00:45Instead, Ben's brother, Casey Affleck, joins the cast this time out. It takes some convincing,
00:50but he agrees to join Ben's effort to win a coffee-themed band battle. But that's only
00:55the tip of the iced coffee for celeb cameos. Legendary New England Patriots coach Bill
01:00Belichick makes an appearance as a Dunkings member, who could use a little more pep in
01:05his step as the group faces off against rival bands at Java Jam, including the Burger Chain
01:10Gang and the Barista Buds, and the Drip Squad, led by the comic Drewski. Another famous Bostonite,
01:16Donnie Wahlberg, of New Kids on the Block fame shows up at the very end as a surprise Dunking.
01:21And somewhat bafflingly, Jay and Silent Bob from director Kevin Smith's various
01:25movies appear as fans looking for autographs.
01:28This guy's a little old, you know what I mean?
01:30The big scene-stealer, unsurprisingly, turns out to be Succession star Jeremy Strong,
01:35who's a little too enthusiastic about being a Dunking. He goes completely method with his
01:39acting, an approach he teased in a bizarre ad during the Grammys. He finally shows up
01:44in revolutionary war garb and makes a dramatic soliloquy, wrapping it up with the proclamation,
01:50"'America runneth on Dunkin'!"
01:53If you just can't get enough of these increasingly bizarre ads, there's good news for you.
01:57Dunkin' has set up a website, dunkingear.com, where you can buy your own Dunkings merch.
02:03It's unclear, as of the making of this video, if that includes full colonial-era dress, though.
