00:00Saquon has had at least 118 yards in five consecutive games,
00:05going back to the regular season.
00:07In that stretch, he is averaging 151.8 yards per game.
00:14I will continue to remind everyone of the play
00:17that is the only down moment of Saquon
00:20outside of the Atlanta drop, the slide against Green Bay,
00:24where he passed up on 59 additional yards
00:26and a touchdown against the Packers.
00:29And had he gone for those additional 59 yards,
00:32then Donnie, last game against Washington,
00:34would have been the first time in four consecutive
00:37leading up, he didn't have at least 150 rushing yards
00:42in a game.
00:43Saquon's been getting better.
00:45The Eagles offensive line has been getting better.
00:48You know, the Eagles offensive line
00:49that wasn't with their starting center
00:52and then the replacement center got so injured
00:54that the starting center had to come back.
00:55And yeah, they're both full practices this week.
00:58They're both locked in, ready to rip rock and roar.
01:01Saquon Barkley needs 169 yards
01:04to own the postseason record.
01:07He passed, well, they passed on the regular season record.
01:11It feels as if this might be the reward.
01:14This might be the pot of gold at the end of that rainbow
01:17for Saquon Barkley.
01:19Is the Super Bowl MVP, the postseason accolades
01:24that were in mind when they didn't go
01:27for the regular season record.
01:29This is a Chiefs defense that has allowed
01:31the two starting running backs they've seen
01:33in these playoffs to combine for 31 carries,
01:36173 yards and three rushing touchdowns.
01:40And with respect to Mixon and Cook,
01:42they aren't on the same planet
01:44as the Philadelphia Eagles rush attack here.
01:46Donnie, I think 109 and a half for Saquon
01:49is a legitimate discount.
01:51I know that's rare to say about a number so high,
01:53I still believe it.
01:54Well, let's just look into the lines
01:55and why it does make some sense.
01:58We know the Kansas City Chiefs have a very good defense,
01:59so do the Philadelphia Eagles.
02:00But understand this, it's 109 and a half
02:03and you might look at that normal and say,
02:04boy, a really good running back on a normal Sunday, guys,
02:06is what, 91 and a half, 92 and a half
02:08on the high end of it there.
02:10Then you say, well, how can it be 109 in the Super Bowl?
02:12Well, let's play it out.
02:13The numbers say Kansas City minus one,
02:15let's just say, against the Eagles.
02:17Oh, it looks like we're expecting a close game in this one.
02:19What's the total?
02:2049, let's call it here.
02:21Well, we're expecting points in this game.
02:23And then I tell you, okay,
02:24if we're expecting points and get them,
02:26if it's a close game,
02:27which means the running game will be there
02:28in the first quarter, the second quarter,
02:30the third quarter, and the fourth quarter.
02:32And you're gonna tell me the game plan
02:33for the Philadelphia Eagles is give Saquon the football.
02:35And I'm gonna tell you, okay,
02:36how about 20 rushes in this game?
02:39Who is betting on Saquon Barkley
02:41getting 20 rushes in this game,
02:42but not hitting 109 and a half?
02:45And Joe, just to add on to this point,
02:47most people look at the numbers
02:48and say, I'm just gonna bet under.
02:49Have you met anybody this week talking there
02:50because you know what?
02:51They're really gonna hold Barkley intact,
02:5355 yards for Barkley in this game.
02:55I haven't heard it yet.
02:56So for me, I just look at the way the game
02:58is supposed to play out numbers wise and say,
03:00if he gets 20 carries in a close football game,
03:02he's not getting 109 and a half.
03:04Get out of here.
03:05Yeah, and think about, you're getting about what?
03:0614, 15 yards of discount from the previous week
03:10when he played Washington.
03:11His number opened up at 125 and a half
03:13and they banged it down, right?
03:15So think about that.
03:16Again, for me, I agree with you.
03:18109 and a half is a good number
03:20if you're gonna play the rushing attack, right?
03:23I'm playing it a different way.
03:26I'm looking at combined yards.
03:27I told you I believe he needs to be in the area of 150.
03:30You know my play for Saquon is the receiving game
03:33and just the way they utilized James Cook, excuse me,
03:37last week, 87 yards on the ground,
03:40another 49 through the air.
03:42I think that's the way that Saquon attacks it.
03:44Now, I know we didn't catch a lot
03:46out of the backfield against Washington.
03:48Did get to 26 yards receiving against the LA Rams.
03:51Also put up, what, 175 in that matchup
03:55or over 200 after he broke the big run.
03:57So again, you talk about versatility.
03:59You talk about explosive plays.
04:01You talk about the best player on the field out in space.
04:05That's what you want if you're the Eagles, right?
04:08How do you create these mismatches?
04:09I believe it's dual.
04:11I think it's on the ground to your point
04:12over the 109 and a half,
04:14but I'm all in on the receiving game.
04:16You know I've said it all week.
