00:00Yeah, you worked in the administration of George W. Bush as well, I understand.
00:04And one of the things you're quoted as having said is the big difference between working with
00:07President Trump and working with President George W. Bush was the late night tweets,
00:12as you mentioned there. I'm just wondering, you know, of course, this is a new administration
00:17from the one that you worked in a few years ago. And I'm just wondering whether you think looking
00:22at it from the outside in, whether President Trump has got the right people in his inner
00:27sanctum to give him those well-considered opinions that you say you and the people
00:32were giving him in the first term? Do you think he's got the team right?
00:36Yeah, I would say one of the lessons he learned was that staffing was critical for his success.
00:42I think he picked certain chiefs of staffs at the beginning of his first term that really
00:48didn't understand how Donald Trump functioned and really tried to say, well, wait a second,
00:53he's not making the right decision. So I as chief of staff should be making the right decision.
00:57And wait a second, you're chief of staff. You're not the elected official. The American people
01:02elected President Trump. They didn't elect the chief of staff. He also picked some cabinet
01:06members the first term where obviously they were more concerned about their own agenda than pushing
01:11the president's agenda. And I think that President Trump knew at this point he was not going to make
01:16that same mistake again.
