00:04Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin opens up about her recent health scare and documents her

00:09progress on social media. Bristol posts this mirror selfie to her Instagram story,

00:14showing the 34-year-old in an all-black outfit, holding a matching clutch and rocking sunglasses.

00:19She adds text alongside the image that reads,

00:21If I just keep my mouth shut, I look pretty normal. LOL, maybe it's a sign.

00:25Bristol revealed that she was experiencing facial paralysis in a series of posts to

00:29her Instagram story January 29th.

00:59In her initial post, Bristol shared a series of videos chronicling the onset

01:28and the progress of the paralysis over the days.

02:03it's really bad okay i feel like the glasses camouflage it this is day two

02:13or i guess day one and a half it's so bad i feel like i have a lisp i can't move any part of it

02:20my eyes getting so dry from not being able to like blink all the way i think it's day three

02:53Bristol later admitted she's experiencing pain but said that's a positive thing.

02:58i know i look crazy right now but this has been such an improvement from what i was looking like

03:04i'm finally starting to get some of the sensation back it's been like a little painful the last two

03:10days which is a sign it's good indication that it's getting better so praise the lord

03:15um it's been wild but the next time that i look in the mirror and i pick myself apart where it's

03:20like oh my nose is long i want a nose job i want to do this on that i am going to remember this

03:25and i'm going to just be so thankful for a normal functioning face because this has been wild
