00:00Gazans are overwhelmed by seeing their towns razed by Israeli occupation forces.
00:06Our collaborator, Judah Hegassi, provides us more details.
00:15I've been moved to the Al-Shiyahidah area, eastern part of Gaza City, north of the Strip.
00:21This area, which was invaded and razed by the Israeli occupation forces,
00:25as we can notice behind my back, all the area has been fully destroyed
00:30by Israeli occupation airstrikes and military tanks.
00:33We have to say that this area has been attacked several times by the Israeli army.
00:38So each invasion led to huge destruction.
00:42So each aggression left the area fully inhospitable.
00:46And we can notice houses, markets, everything has been shattered to pieces, ruined.
00:53So the only thing we can see are mountains of rubble and ruins.
00:57We must note that the area was residential, full of markets, a very lively neighborhood.
01:04And you can see a deadly area instead, as there aren't any houses, no water or power supply,
01:13and people don't know where to go.
01:16Despite this, after the proclamation of the humanitarian truce,
01:21most people have started to return to these places,
01:24but most people have been surprised, overwhelmed by seeing all this devastation they had found.
01:32However, as we can see, the resistance of the Gazan people made possible
01:38that this area, which is literally inhospitable, turned into a lively and vital place again.
01:45We are starting to see tents with markets,
01:48and even we can see people who started pitching their tents to start residing in what were once their homes,
01:57which were shattered to pieces, ruins.
02:00So they have pitched their tents on top of the ruins.
02:07The bloodshed has stopped, but now there is another, stronger suffering.
02:11When we came here, we were overwhelmed by the destruction, by the victims under the rubble.
02:15We don't know where to go, we don't know what to do, we don't know how to get food, water or anything.
02:20We came here and we had to pitch this tent to have a roof over our heads.
02:25As we have heard, when people returned to this area,
02:28they were overwhelmed by the huge destruction they had found.
02:32Many Gazans have lost their houses, their businesses, they have lost all their properties.
02:37Literally, people are devastated.
02:39They don't know what to do, where to go to, where to ask for help.
02:42We have spoken about the bloodshed, the genocidal war, killings and bombings have raised with the whole Gaza Strip.
02:50But the difficult humanitarian situation of Gazans will remain for a long time.
02:55Mostly Gazans will live in tents for a long time.
02:58People do not know what to do, where to ask for help,
03:01but what we can see is that people are broken, overwhelmed by this genocidal war
03:07waged by Israeli occupation forces for over 15 concurrent months in the Gaza Strip.
03:13So the only thing Gazans wish for right now is at least to recover their houses
03:18and recover a place where they can shelter.
03:21In all, they try to forget all suffering they have gone through during all this time.
