00:00A container shipment from Karachi, Pakistan that contains more than 400 kilos of Shabu did not reach the authorities.

00:05The shipment contained more than 400 kilos of Shabu, or equivalent to 2.7 billion Pesos.

00:16Successfully, the authorities in Manila South Harbor blocked a container shipment from Karachi, Pakistan

00:22that contains more than 400 kilos of Shabu, or equivalent to 2.7 billion Pesos.

00:28This is the biggest drug bust this year.

00:31With the help of information from foreign counterparts,

00:33the NBI Dangerous Drugs Division, Organized and Transnational Crime Division, PDEA and BOC

00:42immediately mobilized their forces in consultation with the Department of Justice

00:45in order to stop the so-called shipment.

00:47In the joint operation, and we called it Operation Stonewall,

00:52our effort was successful.

00:56We were able to catch 404 plus kilos of Shabu worth 2.7 billion Pesos.

01:08And because of the cooperation of PDEA and BOC, our effort materialized.

01:19The shipment was declared to contain vermicelli noodles and custards,

01:23but unfortunately, the illegal drug was discovered.

01:26The following personalities were arrested who were involved in the illegal drug bust.

01:31According to the authorities, the suspects used the so-called multiple layering

01:35or a series of documentation in order to hide the illegal drug in the legitimate shipment.

01:41The suspects were brought to the Department of Justice for inquest proceedings

01:44in the case of violation of Section 4 of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

01:51At present, the case is currently in court and is awaiting the initiation of litigation.

01:56The DOJ assured that they will implement a strategy to prevent

01:59illegal drugs from entering the country's borders.
