00:00Some 435 Malaysians faced deportation from the U.S. after receiving their final deportation

00:08orders from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

00:12Citing data from ISIS Enforcement and Removal Operations Dashboard, Malaysians are among

00:181.44 million people currently in ISIS' non-detention docket, Haryan Metro reported.

00:25They were served with deportation orders after Donald Trump was installed as U.S. President

00:29for a second term.

00:31According to ICE, foreigners served with the orders can still seek asylum in the U.S. as

00:36refugees or under the U.N.'s Convention Against Torture.

00:40However, Washington still encourages home countries to accept the return of their citizens.

00:46ICE urged foreign governments to confirm the citizenship of their nationals and to issue

00:51travel documents for them promptly, in which failure to comply could lead to the nation

00:55being classified as uncooperative or at risk of being incompliant.

01:01Currently 15 nations have been listed as uncooperative, including China, India and Pakistan, while

01:0611 others such as Vietnam and Iraq are deemed at risk of being incompliant.

01:13In a brief statement, a Wisma Putra spokesman said the ministry was aware of reports on

01:17the deportation, but that its embassy in Washington had not received any formal notification from

01:23U.S. authorities.

01:25They also said there was no official request for consular assistance from Malaysians served

01:30with the deportation orders.
