00:00Just another Tuesday night in college basketball, but now in the month of February,
00:05dotted with great teams in action in a couple of monumental games, including one
00:11at the world's most famous arena inside Madison Square Garden. Number 12 St. John's,
00:16number 11 Marquette, perhaps the biggest game for St. John's men's basketball at MSG in a very,
00:25long time, as the Johnnies continue to hope to make history this year for the first time
00:32in a very, very long time. A 70 to 64 win for the Red Storm at home, covering as a two and
00:41point favorite. Joe, there was a total for this game at 147 and a hook. It was on the rise
00:48throughout the entirety of Tuesday. You and I both were like, this is the fourth most efficient
00:53defensive team in the country in St. John's, and especially in the second half when it mattered
00:59most. That's when Rick Pitino's Red Storm team came out to play. St. John's has won nine
01:06consecutive games in Big East action for the first time in 40 years since 1984, 85, at least nine
01:16consecutive games in conference play. They are 11 and one in the Big East, hoping to take home
01:23their first regular season conference crowd in Big East action in over three decades.
01:30Yeah, I mean, it's kind of crazy. You mentioned it, nine straight, right? 15 of 16, Ben, and now 15
01:37and 0 at home. And that Madison Square Garden crowd, whoo, they were involved yesterday. I
01:43think 17,000, Ben, were in attendance there. I've been watching it last night. I think I saw Aaron
01:50Boone, why he still has the job. I have no idea, but that's another question. But he was in
01:55attendance there. So yeah, playing in front of the high profile folks in the garden and to be that
02:02dominant there, which is, let's be honest, Ben, it's a pro arena. It's not a college arena. And
02:10they are handling business. This is very impressive what we're seeing from St. John's.
02:16Certainly, that's the kind of defense that wins championships.
