00:00I thought, here we are on a bike ride losing my kid to a boyfriend in an apartment.
00:07She's really just come out of her shell with really asserting independence.
00:13Not too long ago, we had to physically administer Baylen's medicine.
00:17Here's your medicine.
00:18Take it.
00:19Let's see it.
00:20Like a little kid.
00:21I need Callen to understand that this is a challenge.
00:25In this week's episode of Baylen Out Loud, fans got to see how Baylen overcame her severe
00:29tick attack.
00:30The incident happened during tick con in Dallas, Texas, and her mom, Julie, called it the worst
00:34tick attack her daughter's ever had.
00:38This is by far the worst tick attack that Baylen has had to my memory as far as I can
00:44remember.
00:45And I don't know what to do because I'm numb and I'm walking through the motions with her.
00:50Yep, breathe.
00:51More ice.
00:52We got it.
00:53More ice.
00:54We got it.
00:55We got it.
00:56My heart is breaking for her.
00:57If we can kind of snap out of it and be okay rather quickly, I don't know what we're going
01:01to do for her.
01:02Nope, you're okay.
01:03It's a lot.
01:04But it's the perfect place to have it, though.
01:05Literally.
01:06It's the perfect place to have it, though, because we got you, girl.
01:07You're okay.
01:08During a confessional, Baylen talked about how she was feeling during the moment.
01:18It's so intense and it's so painful.
01:22You feel powerless, like you are in no control.
01:26You can want to control it, but it's not going to end out the way you like it.
01:32Three days later, Baylen was back at her home in West Virginia and got to relax with her
01:35family and boyfriend Colin at a nearby creek.
01:38But as they were enjoying family time, her parents, Julie and Alan, talked about the
01:42scary incident and how it could impact Baylen being independent.
01:46I'm more concerned that if she has one of those tick attacks to that extent, and neither
01:52of us are there.
01:53I know.
01:54Being a parent to-
01:56It's a lot, though, when you say, to what level do I push her forward and to what extent
02:01do I hold her back and coddle her and give her more life-adulting skills?
02:07Like there's this balance to it.
02:10It's a huge struggle to let Baylen go.
02:14We encourage her to seek her independence, but at the same time, we really just want
02:18to coddle her and shield her from the world.
02:22That moment also worried Colin, who was concerned about Baylen being independent.
02:26What happens if you're living on your own and you have that severe of a tick attack
02:31and no one's here to help you?
02:32Well, not every tick attack is me banging my head off the floor.
02:35But this one was.
02:37There's concerns there, obviously.
02:39What if you can't get to your bed?
02:40What if you're just laying on the hardwood floor?
02:44It's any concerns that as me, as a boyfriend who loves you, is concerned about, you know?
02:54She wants to have her own life and independence.
02:58That's all Baylen wants.
03:01But what I feel when Baylen's having a severe tick attack is I want to be able to help her
03:06in whatever way that I can.
03:08But Baylen assured him that there are things she can do to hopefully prevent that from
03:12happening again.
03:13I know that you're worried about my tick attacks and them happening when no one's there.
03:19But really, in reality, anything can happen at any time.
03:23With the tick attack, I know that I was over-stimulated.
03:26I know I was too tired.
03:28I know I didn't eat enough.
03:29I know I didn't exercise.
03:31There's certain things that I know I didn't do.
03:34To hear how severe Baylen's tick attack was at that conference makes me pretty upset.
03:40It's kind of hard to support Baylen living on her own.
03:45In the end, Collin was able to move past that and ask Baylen a big question.
03:50So my roommate is moving out.
03:52He got his relocation orders.
03:55I've asked around, I've been asking people if they need a roommate, but I don't really
04:01have any luck coming with that.
04:04So I was just thinking, what if we live together?
04:11Seriously?
04:12Yeah.
04:13Okay.
04:14Um.
04:15Well, yes.
04:16Obviously, I want to.
04:17This is so exciting.
04:18Like, what the heck?
04:19Yeah.
04:20During a confessional, Collin explained why he wants to move in with Baylen.
04:30After that tick attack that she had, it's really made me start thinking about how I
04:36can be there to support her once she does move out and how I want to be there to help
04:40her as much as I can.
04:43But telling Collin's parents made them both nervous.
04:46My parents are very conservative and religious.
04:50They have very strong beliefs, like you shouldn't live together before marriage.
04:56I mean, I think we both know what they're going to say.
04:59Me and Collin sleep in separate beds at his parents' house.
05:04Due to their beliefs, they are very conservative.
05:15I know that they won't support it.
05:17I know that it's not something that they support, but I also think it's something that we should
05:23bring up to our parents and you ask your parents and we can ask my parents.
05:32When it was time for Baylen to tell her family, it came to them as a shock.
05:37Having Baylen say that she wanted to move in with Collin has me feeling like I'm the
05:45one that got knocked off the bike.
05:48I feel like ambushed by the news.
05:50I know that this is the trajectory of their relationship, but I'm not ready for it.
05:56I think obviously there's a shock factor with us because we're like, okay, all of a sudden
06:00you're just going to move in.
06:01I think there's a lot to think about though.
06:04You don't even have an apartment yet.
06:06No, I know I don't have an apartment yet, but I mean, I'm going to get one.
06:12I got it.
06:13We got to start looking.
06:14I got to, I got to start looking.
06:15She is not easy to live with.
06:17There's a lot all day every day, but you want her to live a normal life just like everybody
06:22else and I don't think Collin's ready to help her.
06:27It's very complicated.
06:30You're pissed?
06:31No.
06:32You don't like Collin?
06:33No.
06:34He's so protective.
06:35You don't like Collin?
06:36No, I'm concerned.
06:37Oh, for who?
06:38For everybody.
06:39No.
06:40For everybody.
06:41We're going to have some questions other than standing out in this hot sun and talking
06:44about it.
06:45Right?
06:47Obviously.
06:48With like finances.
06:49Your dad's face.
06:50Your dad's back to the face.
06:51Yeah.
06:52Then right before they went to tell Collin's parents, Bailyn was feeling a little nervous.
06:56I'm very nervous because we're sitting here reading the Bible and then little do we know
06:59we're holding the secret about how me and Collin are going to be living together and
07:03trying to hold tics in because again, religion.
07:08It's like a, like a tsunami of thoughts going through my head as I'm sitting on the couch
07:15and I'm trying to run away from them, trying to run away from the 10,000 thoughts that
07:20are coming at me.
07:21And the next day, Bailyn let it slip that they were moving in together.
07:26We're in the process of trying to move into, oh, so who's, who's we?
07:33With what?
07:34Oh no.
07:35I've already f***ed up.
07:36I've already f***ed up.
07:37Oh my God.
07:38I can't believe I just said we.
07:41Oh, I just met like me and like, um, like, um.
07:54We're going to have to wait until next week to see just exactly how that whole situation
07:58unfolded.
07:59We came down here to kind of talk to you about something important.
