00:00I got an email in 2020 from one of my agents and the title was just cabbages
00:07and it had this wonderful script in it I thought it was so bold and such a wild
00:13swing and something that I never read before so I was like I'm so intrigued I
00:17mean I just had never read anything like this and it was so rhythmically tight
00:22and special like the whole rhythm of the language I just hadn't read anything like
00:26it so I was I was desperate to do it the second I I read it you know I didn't I
00:31didn't know going into this like how much that is just like a trust exercise
00:34that's all it is it's just you know hiring well and then trusting that you
00:40hired well he just kind of let the film reveal itself too and that to me is a
00:44mark of a really wonderful director so yeah yeah we had great financing partners
00:49that were like willing to spend money on a script about illegal cabbages that
00:55tends to happen with Christina I'm just gonna shout her out like once she kind
00:59of gets her hands on something it like really takes off trust people and trust
01:03the artists around you to be the best people they can be and then you'll you'll
01:07get what it was always meant to be
