Middlesbrough 2-3 Sunderland: Phil and James react to Enzo Le Fee masterclass
Transcript
00:00Right, Phil, Sunderland 3, Borough 2, discuss.
00:04Incredible game, really. I thought the first half now from Sunderland, I just thought they weren't in the game.
00:09Middles were completely dominant, pressing sharp, passed it beautifully and kind of thought,
00:13how on earth are they so far behind Sunderland in the table?
00:16Obviously a little bit of luck to be able to back in it, but I thought after that, I thought Sunderland were the better team.
00:20I thought they consistently created the better chances.
00:23One moment of madness really to let Borough back in it, but it's all about Enzo Laffey tonight.
00:27That was one of the best individual displays I've ever seen from Sunderland players.
00:30I thought he was on a completely different planet.
00:33Luke Aylin, I don't think he landed a tackle on him. Everything he did came off.
00:36He used the ball so well. I'm almost giggling.
00:39It was fantastic. There were several moments where we just sat and looked at each other really.
00:44It was quality, the turns, the touches, his range of passing.
00:48I mean, he's doing that from the left as well, which isn't his natural position.
00:51The touch from the ball to bring it down for the winner.
00:55I know it's an old goal, but he makes that goal. It's absolutely sublime.
00:58I am stunned at how good that was tonight.
01:01He doesn't just do it for show either. Every time he does it, he's creating a chance.
01:04I think that's the main thing. It's not just like step overs or beating players for the sake of it.
01:08He's actually creating big opportunities. He's so direct. I think that's what I love about him.
01:11I mean, I'd love to see him in the middle of the park as well.
01:13It's so exciting moving forward to the end of the season. He really is a different class.
01:17How big is that in terms of Sunderland's season? We don't know yet, but it feels like a big one.
01:22Yeah, it does. We saw after the Plymouth game, you know that sometimes this team can frustrate us.
01:26We know they can compete with anyone at this level. It's about grinding the results out a little bit.
01:31Sometimes two big home games coming up, huge opportunities. I'm not getting carried away.
01:35After the disappointment of the Plymouth game, Sunderland have to back this up now.
01:38But make no mistake, this is one of the toughest games Sunderland have left this season.
01:42They've got three points. They're right in the race. I just love watching this team.
01:46I think that's the thing. I love watching this team. I love how they try and go about things.
01:49It's a real joy.
01:50Of all the good Sunderland teams over the years, this is the first one to do a league double at Middlesbrough since 1962.
01:55There you go. Let's end on that. Happy days.
01:57On the whistle tomorrow?
01:58On the whistle tomorrow, yeah. Leave any questions below.
02:01Obviously, I don't quite know how the transfer window is going to unfold yet,
