00:00Good afternoon on transfer deadline day, obviously loads of intrigue about who
00:05Preston Northend might be signing or selling. Today the final day of the
00:11mid-season window, Lewis Gibson and Jadon Magoma the two incomings at
00:15Deeddale so far. Gibson permanently, Magoma on loan from Brentford and it
00:21looks as though Northend are going to get a third one done before the 11 p.m.
00:25deadline. That'll be Ryan Porteus on loan from Watford, the Scotland
00:30International. Heading up and keen to join Preston really, seems like it's
00:34moved really quickly this one. Jordan Storey got injured on Friday in the
00:39Lancashire derby at Blackburn and Preston seemingly moved really fast to get
00:44Porteus up for the rest of the season. It'll be a straight loan deal, no option
00:48to buy, he's worked with Heckingbottom before at Cabernet and been in and out
00:53of the Watford team really this season, having been there for two years now
00:58Porteus, so he will plug a gap in the squad for the rest of the season and
01:05nothing else expected to get done really. Never say never on deadline day but as
01:09far as we're aware that's the one incoming Northender focused on getting
01:13done and that could well be it but you never really rule anything out with
01:1911, 10, 11 hours to go so we'll keep an eye on that but as far as outgoings are
01:25concerned as well, nobody expected to leave Northend today. Jack Watmoe, there
01:30was a loan approach in the last day or two but that was turned down which would
01:35suggest that Storey is going to be out for an extended period after that blow.
01:40He blocked across at Ewood Park, he tried to carry on and was
01:45forced pretty quickly off so we'll have to see what gets said about that later
01:49this week but the fact that are going for Porteus and the fact Watmoe's not
01:52being allowed to leave would imply that Storey is not going to be available for
01:57for a while so see what happens there. As far as other outgoings are concerned
02:02there's been a bit of noise around Militanos Maic and Freddie Woodman in
02:05the last couple of days and no approaches or offers believed to have
02:10come in for either player. Obviously Woodman's future is up for debate and
02:16uncertain because he's out of contract in the summer, there's been a little bit of
02:19talk recently that Northend are willing to let him go and stuff so longer
02:25term maybe one for the summer that if Preston look to replace Woodman and let
02:30him go. Osmaic, there would be a big fiasco for him, sort of eight to nine
02:35million pounds believed to be the valuation of him but yeah nobody
02:40expected to leave, Porteus expected to come in and it'll be interesting to see
02:45if Northend say anything after getting Porteus done should that go
02:49through. There has been a few players linked in the last few days, Lewis
02:54O'Brien, Nottingham Forest midfielder obviously after injury to Ben White and
02:59then Paul Hecking but I made it clear he kind of wanted a midfielder in, whether
03:03storage injury has kind of become more of a priority than midfield, it looks as
03:10though that's the case with the move for Porteus, O'Brien not really believed to
03:16be on the cards for Northend at the minute, it seems like he's on his way to
03:19Swansea, been linked with loads of clubs, the Clubs The Forest Man in the last few
03:23days and seems like the Premier League Club want a pretty significant wage
03:28contribution and potentially even a loan fee as well so have to see where
03:33O'Brien goes, would have been a good signing but doesn't look like that's
03:36gonna happen for Preston. Jadon Danes was loosely linked, the young Liverpool
03:40striker who's been in and around the first team but he's on his way to
03:43Sunderland according to reports and Thierry Small, the powerful Charlton wide
03:49player in Preston in the FA Cup has been looked at by P&E but not expecting a
03:55move on deadline day for him, he's at a contract in the summer at the Valley so
04:00want to keep an eye on moving forward potentially but as we sit here now at
04:05half 12, Porteus in and nobody leaving would be the expectation but we'll
04:11keep you posted over at the Lancashire Post for the rest of the deadline day.
