Ivy Lacsina believes first win via sweep in PVL AFC gives Akari right momentum
The Akari Chargers obtained their first sweep in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference at the expense of Capital 1.
Ivy Lacsina, the “ate (older sister)" of her team, believes that Akari’s first back-to-back wins and their first straight-set victory serve as a huge morale boost.
“This is a good boost to our morale, especially in our next games we are going to face tougher teams. We need to double and triple our work versus our outings in our previous games,” she said.
The Chargers overpowered the Solar Spikers via a dominating 25-9, 25-17, 26-24 win last Saturday, Feb. 1, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City

00:00We always say that it's still a job. We always follow Coach Taka's game plan.
00:08We're just continuing to build our team's culture.
00:14I think what we're doing now is better.
00:18And for Coach, compared to how you ended 2024, are you much happier now with the way Akali began 2025?
00:27Or is it still a bit rough for you?
00:31I think it's still the same.
00:33We have a super young player, but we also have a lot of potential.
00:38When you lose, it doesn't matter.
00:41We also need to learn from the captain, but we're sure we can make it through.
00:46Because sometimes we're missing.
00:49Even if we're not a champion team, it's just a conference championship.
00:53But sometimes, you don't have to be this kind of team.
00:56It's like a champion team.
00:58We just need to do more. We have more.
01:00And we need to focus on our improvement.
01:20Find out more.
