Ange Postecoglou’s start to life at Tottenham looked promising, but could his time already be running out? After a flying start to the season, Spurs have struggled, and their lack of ambition in the January transfer window hasn’t helped, with many supporters feeling fed up.
If Spurs decide to make a change, who could replace the manager? Big names from clubs across the Premier League could be in the mix. But is sacking Ange the right call?

00:00Yeah, just on Ange Posticoglou and his time, when he obviously came in, you know, they've
00:07been on the back of some top European coaches, you know, like Sergio Zemirino, Antonio Conte,
00:13and they can never get the job sort of over the line with those. If Ange is to go, if
00:19Ange is to be sacked in the near future, who's sort of available to come in? Because they
00:23have tried and tested these top European managers and they've still not been able to prove successful
00:29at Spurs. What's sort of delaying that and who do you feel would work if Ange was to
00:35go? Do you feel it's the right time to part ways with him after his poor form at the end
00:40of the day? Or do you feel there's life in his Spurs time and he can turn things around?
00:48Well, I mean, I'm leaning towards Ange out. I think there's been failings and repeated
00:54failings on the pitch. Tactically, we're so naive. You saw against Leicester, two goals
01:00over the top of the right-back Porros caught up the pitch. There's just some real, real
01:04basic errors that are costing us goals. It almost feels like we're playing Aussie idealist
01:09type football back in the 90s, where you have to score four goals to win a game and that's
01:14just unsustainable in the Premier League. He's been a breath of fresh air. I really
01:17want him to succeed. I think he's been fantastic for the club in terms of regalvanising us
01:23and starting off the rebuild that we were so desperately craving for. But now we're
01:29in a short-term crisis and we need results and we need results now. So, if he is to go,
01:35which I don't think it will be the case, we've got to maybe back him and see what happens
01:39when the players come back from injury. We've got a couple of big players coming back very,
01:42very soon. But he needs some support. We need some leadership in the team. If he wants to
01:48go, that's the big question. I think that's why he's still in a job. I just think there's
01:51a lack of available alternatives at this time in the season. I mean, lots of people
01:55talk about Arreola at Bournemouth. He's doing an absolutely fantastic job. I mean, it's
01:59almost a bit Pochettino-esque, isn't it, at Bournemouth, the way he's really, really got
02:03them playing. I mean, they're the form team in the division on a shoestring budget. They
02:07lost the best striker in the summer, Solanke, to Tottenham and the irony is they're doing
02:11even better out of this. So, he'll be in the running for many top jobs, not probably attainable
02:17in January. Thomas Frank at Brentford, you know, doing a great job. But is he a top-six
02:23manager? Well, I'm not so sure. And again, would he leave Brentford mid-season? And there's
02:28even been calls to Pochettino, which is quite interesting. A little bit of social media
02:33murmurs could be complete nonsense, of course. Obviously, social media is a bit of an echo
02:38chamber. But it's interesting because, you know, would Levy go back to Pochettino, you
02:43know, especially after he went to Chelsea? Soured his sort of legacy there with a few
02:48fans, including myself. But I wonder if that might be Levy's last roll of the dice. I'm
02:53guessing and surmising that he would leave the United States job if he was offered the
02:58role back at Spurs. He's often said he's got unfinished business there. And would that
03:03be sort of the last throw from Levy to sort of reunite the club and bring everything back
03:07together? Who knows? But I think certainly in the short term, Angie's here to stay. But,
03:12you know, if results don't pick up, this just cannot, cannot carry on.
03:19And just finally, on the transfer situation, obviously, you know, you really stress that
03:24names do need to come through the door. What's the sort of type of player that they're going
03:29to be after if they are to make some January additions?
03:32Well, I think now it's all about leadership. You know, we need some experience. We need
03:36some leadership to help some of these younger players through. You know, I mean, the young
03:40players have been the positives and the shining lights this season. You know, they've been
03:43absolutely terrific. But we need some help now in terms of, you know, leadership and
03:49experienced bodies. And we're crying out for a number six, a defensive midfielder. I've
03:54been saying that for a long, long time. I think that's more important than the centre
03:57back position. But, you know, we really do need that. We need some options up front as
04:01well. You know, Richarlison looks like he's got a groin injury. Solanke out for six weeks
04:06leaves us with no available striker. So we need to bring in, you know, a forward looking
04:11at stopgaps now. The strategy's been absolutely abysmal through January. We're, you know,
04:16three quarters of the way through January. There's less than a week left in the window
04:19and we're still scratching around looking at, you know, players and it'll be stopgap
04:22loans now. And, you know, what good's that really? But we're in a desperate situation.
04:27So desperate times calls for desperate measures.
