00:00Hello, my name's Luke Patrick, I'm a reporter for the Blackpool Gazette and today I'm going to do a food review on the Napoli Salami Pizza from Pizza Rana at the Abingdon Street Market in Blackpool.
00:10It's not somewhere I've been but I'm a big pizza person so I'm sure I'm going to love it.
00:15I'm really looking forward to it and I'll let you know what I thought of the food once I've tried it.
00:30Hello, I've now tried the Napoli Salami Pizza from Pizza Rana at the Abingdon Street Market and I have to say I give it a very very good review.
00:50I'm a massive pizza person so I think it was always going to be up my street.
00:54It was a Napoli Salami Pizza, it was priced at £13 which I think for the size of the pizza was very reasonable.
01:02I thought the salt, the sweetness of the tomato sauce worked really well with the saltiness of the salami which was very generous, helping the massive slices of it which was really really good.
01:15All the melted cheese was very nice as well and that kind of wood-fried, charred dough around the outside of the pizza was very very good as well.
01:26The only thing I think that wasn't great, well I wouldn't say great, it didn't ruin the pizza by any means but it's just one critique that I would have is I think the basil had been put on before it went in the wood-fryer.
01:42So it was kind of, that kind of charred, the basil was kind of charred so I think that if it was, I would have enjoyed it a little bit more and had a bit more flavour if it was put on fresh afterwards but it's a minor critique, it doesn't ruin the pizza for me and I still very very much enjoyed it.
