00:00The administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. brought the work closer to the Filipinos

00:06through the launch of CareerCon 2025, which is one of the biggest job fairs this year.

00:19It's hard to find someone who has a heavy budget to apply for a job,

00:24especially for someone like Justin who just finished college.

00:28My expenses include going to job fairs or applying for a job face-to-face.

00:36To help someone like Justin, the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. brought the work closer to the Filipinos.

00:45Today, the Department of Labor and Employment and a job-finding platform of 5,000 jobs in CareerCon 2025.

00:55This is one of the biggest job fairs this year.

00:58150 employers joined and 18,000 applicants registered.

01:05The job fair aims to bring the work closer to the Filipinos and reduce the number of Filipinos without a job.

01:12At least, you don't have to go to every company.

01:18You don't have to submit resumes or interviews.

01:24You don't have to go to every company.

01:29The number of non-employed Filipinos is decreasing.

01:33But we're not done yet.

01:36Whatever job they hold, it should be a quality job with potential to be promoted.

01:49Most of the jobs are in information and technology, hotel and restaurant, and healthcare industry.

01:56Not only here in the Philippines, but also in other countries.

02:02My current job is admin. It's far from the course I finished, which is tourism.

02:08So, I want to do a career shift.

02:12According to DOLE, aside from entry-level jobs, there are also vacancy positions in senior roles that have high salaries.

02:21The agency hopes that many former POGO workers will apply.

02:26The government is really working hard to close their companies.

02:33Career coaching and masterclasses will also be held at the event.

02:36Employees will be given free skills.

02:41Like I said before, they will apply.

02:44It's up to them if they want to apply or not.

02:48Now, we're giving them new skills or upskilling.

02:54We're making them better at what they're doing.

02:58In case of success, the big job fair will be held every month.

03:02Not only in Metro Manila, but also in other parts of the country.

03:07In November 2024, 49.54 million Filipinos will have jobs.

03:15DOLE is ready to help Filipinos in America who might be deported.
