00:23Have you seen influencers on social media that are starting to endorse the candidates of the 2025 National and Local Elections?

00:36Influencers who are campaigning, friends, or political acquaintances.

00:41The Commission on Elections said that when the campaign period comes in February 11, it is possible that they will ask for the contract of the candidates and influencers.

00:52Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia explained that they need to know if the candidate has paid the influencer and if it was placed on the social media of the candidates.

01:02What is the extent of their conversation? Do they have a contract?

01:05Is that a contract that should be issued to us?

01:08Because the contract is issued to us by the stations of the radio and television, even to the JARIO, to the Comelec for purposes of comparison, to the candidates or political appointees who are reporting.

01:21The Committee on Contrabigay of Comelec will be the first to look into this.

01:25They do not prohibit influencers from endorsing.

01:29They just want to make sure that the candidates will not fall below the spending limit during the campaign.

01:35If ever it is just a donation to endorse an influencer to the candidate, it should still be placed on the social media, as per the rules, to the artists who are endorsing during the election.

01:47The influencers and the talents or artists who will endorse the candidate, how can we presume that they were paid by the candidates or political party?

02:05The money will only be included if they ask for help from other influencers.

02:10It is expected that before the campaign period for the national candidates and party-list organizations, the Committee on Contrabigay will issue a notice up to this point.
