00:00Motorists are planning their trip early, especially on their way to Pinondo, Manila.

00:08This is due to a parade that will be held later this afternoon.

00:16Expecting the heavy rainfall to hit some parts of Manila,

00:21as part of the Chinese New Year celebration,

00:24motorists are planning their route.

00:31The parade will start at Manila Post Office later this afternoon.

00:36It will pass through the following routes.

00:39Right at Jones Bridge.

00:41Right at Escolta Street.

00:43Left at Plaza Santa Cruz.

00:45Left at Santa Odas Marina Street.

00:48Right at Quintin Paredes Street.

00:51Right at Ongpin Street.

00:53Left at Alonzo Street.

00:55Left at Solera Street.

00:57Left at Reina Regente Street.

00:59And it will end at Lucky Chinatown.

01:02As part of the celebration,

01:04the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, MMDA, announced

01:08that the implementation of the Expanded Number Coding Scheme will be suspended for today.

01:14According to MMDA, places like Pinondo,

01:17where the Chinese are doing their tradition,

01:20are expected to experience heavy traffic.

01:25All who used alternative routes and planned their trip were stopped.

01:30Follow the traffic rules and be careful when driving.

01:34Parking is prohibited on the route of the parade,

01:38and those who go down will be attacked by the authorities.

01:41The Chinese New Year is an important celebration for the Chinois and Filipinos.

01:46It is expected that more people will join the activities in Pinondo and nearby places.

01:52Meanwhile, preparations are underway at San Lorenzo Ruiz Plaza of the Filipino-Chinese Community.
