00:00Clint, and I've seen some people jumping in on this thing as well.
00:07The Texans have Laramie Tunzel and Titus Howard both under contract and have pretty good contracts.
00:15They can move on from Shaq Mason.
00:16He's under contract though.
00:18Ju Scruggs, they just moved up in the second round two years ago and they drafted him.
00:24They just drafted Blake Fisher last year in the second round.
00:31Obviously Kenyon Green is still there and they've got Patterson as well who started
00:38at the center spot.
00:40So they've got a lot of guys that can be options.
00:43They could run back with the same offensive line if they want to.
00:47How many guys for you?
00:48How many guys on the starting offensive line next year do you think should not come from
00:57what's in this building?
01:00How many guys should not come from the building?
01:03How many guys that are in the building right now?
01:06Do I think will or should?
01:07Let's go both.
01:08How many do you think will?
01:11I think Laramie Tunzel will be the left tackle.
01:14I think Titus Howard will be the right tackle.
01:16I think Ju Scruggs will factor into the middle somehow.
01:19So you think there's potential for two new spots?
01:22To be gone.
01:23Yes.
01:24Probably the guards.
01:25They really want him to be a center but I don't know how quickly that communication issue
01:33is solved in a year where you played more guard than you did center or stayed injured
01:37or played guard more than you did center.
01:39So you think Patterson's probably not in as a starter?
01:42Yeah.
01:43Boy, Ron, to admit that you missed on Shaq, that you missed on Kenyon Green, and that
01:51you missed on Ju Scruggs, I think is a lot for this team, for this organization to admit.
02:03I think they pushed Ju Scruggs being in this lineup somehow.
02:05Which I think is right.
02:06I think Ju Scruggs is...
02:07I do.
02:08I got a lot of...
02:09And you think Blake is still on the bench?
02:11Yes.
02:13Yes.
02:14I do not believe Blake is...
02:17Not as long as you got Titus and Laramie on the team.
02:21Now that's what I think is going to happen.
02:23Now what I think should happen is I think they should try their damnedest to move Laramie
02:27Tunsell and the reasons that everybody will call me crazy for it is the reason why I'm
02:34even saying it, because he's tradable.
02:38Like right now, you ain't moving Kenyon Green.
02:41You ain't moving Shaq Mason.
02:45The guy that has value on this offensive line that you could move and get something in return
02:51is Laramie Tunsell.
02:52Now I don't know if that's...
02:54I said they can't.
02:55I don't know if that's doable or not, but if I were the Texans, I would move on from
03:00Laramie Tunsell.
03:02I would play Titus Howard at left tackle if need be.
03:06Either work with Blake Fisher or find somebody else and then you leave Juice Grugs in the
03:12middle and figure out what you're going to do with the other two middle line positions.
03:17To me, I would say three guys and it would be...
03:22I'm sorry, two guys and it would be Juice Grugs and Titus Howard and then you got to
03:28find the rest.
03:29Is Blake Fisher a guy?
03:30I don't know.
03:32You got to find two of your three interior offensive linemen.
03:37The Blake Fisher thing is interesting.
03:41To me, I think one of the tackles should be gone.
03:45Not just do I think should be, but I think it has to be a real thought of it because
03:52I don't know that Stephon Diggs is going to be back and if he's not, then you lost a second
03:58round pick with that because that's what you traded him for a second round pick for
04:02what eight or nine games and then you used a second round pick and these are valuable
04:09picks.
04:10These are guys that come out and play immediately and then you used another second round pick
04:14on a player that's not going to really play for the first two years and Blake Fisher,
04:21when you're trying to get to another spot, that's why it almost feels like to me, I wonder
04:25what's the thought is like, does he, do we, do we need to get him in?
04:29He started the last several few games of the year.
04:31Do we need to get him in?
04:32Does he like, that's, that's the other part.
04:35Here's the thing with Blake Fisher.
04:36I would not be opposed to Blake Fisher at right tackle Titus Howard at left tackle.
04:40And here's, here's my, the, the reason behind it, right?
04:43I think Titus had left.
04:44You would.
04:45Yes, I would.
04:46If it were me, I would start with moving.
04:49Again, one, he's got value.
04:51He's got a name.
04:52He's got a reputation.
04:53I think you can move him and get good return to, I don't believe that you're going to change
04:59Titus Howard, juice grugs in this offensive line.
05:03As long as Laramie Tunsil is doing Laramie Tunsil things and he's got a C on his chest
05:07and he's the highest paid offensive lineman and he's setting the standard in the tone.
05:11I just don't, I don't, I don't think that's doable.
05:14I just don't.
05:16And so for me, I think you get an offensive coordinator in here that if Blake Fisher is
05:24a tackle, we'll demand that a tight end and a running back have the ability to chip, have
05:31the, but you see Saquon Barkley, a pastor tech this weekend, by the way, like have the
05:34ability to, to literally help the young fella instead of getting his way or, or leave him
05:39hanging out to dry and critical situations.
05:42Blake Fisher will be a better player.
05:43Yeah.
05:44Right.
05:45He'll be a better player because of that.
05:46So I would not be opposed to Blake Fisher being, being a tackle.
05:50I don't know how they feel about Blake in terms of, of moving forward, but I think the
05:56biggest move that can be made on this team and have the biggest impact on this offense
06:01as a whole is if they move on from Laramie Tunsil.
06:03Yeah, I think they, yeah, I think they got to move on from one of the tackles.
06:08I feel like Blake Fisher has to be in this to me, at least given an opportunity in the
06:13start lineup, because I mean, just, I mean, you've already, like I said, you, you've lost
06:17a second round pick if you don't bring back digs.
06:20And then, and I don't think you should, I think you were talking about digs in his thirties
06:23coming off an ACL.
06:24I don't know that that's, that's the move to pay him the money and other ones sitting
06:30on the bench, not, not doing anything for a group that gave up 63 sacks the previous
06:37year.
06:38So you think about it, Ron, from a wide receiver position, I don't, I don't mean to pull your
06:41convo off in the ditch, but like, I don't even know why I'm thinking of this guy, but,
06:46but it's just, it just like, how, how lethal would CJ Stroud be with a guy like James Palmer?
06:55Is it James Palmer?
06:56Josh Palmer.
06:57Yeah.
06:58James, Josh, James is probably a very quick receiver.
07:00He'd be more of a possession guy.
07:01I'm talking about Josh Palmer, the kid, a guy like that, a guy like that as, as a two
07:07right.
07:08Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, like a two or three, right?
07:10Like how lethal would this offense be with a bigger bodied, separate guy that can separate
07:16a guy that can go up and get a 50, 50 ball, right?
07:20It's not Mike Evans, but he's a poor man's 50, 50 ball.
07:24Go get her.
07:25He's a poor man's big bodied wide receiver, meaning he's not going to go make 30 million
07:29a year.
07:30But he, but like how nasty would CJ's offense be with CJ being an offense where you got
07:36obviously Niko Collins, but your two or three receiver is a bigger bodied proven depth receiver.
07:44Like a Josh Palmer, like, like an agent, uh, Keenan Allen, um, you know, like somebody
07:50like that, that is, you can depend on him to be at the right depth.
07:56He can block the right shoulder.
07:58He goes up and make plays in a red zone.
08:00I mean, everything we've seen CJ work with beyond Niko Collins has been little dudes
08:05trying to create separation on routes that take forever.
08:10To me, that's the kind of move that man, instead of the digs, like I like digs, but instead
08:14of the digs conversation, what about somebody like that?
08:17That is well cheaper, but as much of a physical threat as, as a, you know, get you, I can
08:26run you this nasty ass route at 15 yards and I can shake the hell out of you and create
08:31separation when I come out of the cut, but I hope you can hold the ball that long.
08:34Yeah.
08:35You know what I mean?
08:36And look, I'm not, I like, I won't tank to come back tomorrow, but just in the time being,
08:41I would like the Texas to go find a guy like that.
08:43Yeah.
08:44And, and, and be honest with you, the draft is a spot that that can happen.
08:47I mean, that can happen in the draft, which you know, to me is why, like I, it's hard
08:52for me to see digs coming back, but yeah, this, this offensive line is wild.
08:57And, and, and, and honestly, I do feel like whoever is hired as the OC could be a telling
09:05point on what this old line looks like.
09:09Like no question, because it better be right.
09:12It can't be go hire a guy that has a certain way of doing things.
09:15And then we just keep everything status quo because Nick signed them or hire somebody
09:18that is in house that will more of the same or, or, or work with this.
