00:00Welcome back to the Tactics Zone, as we take a look into one of the biggest stories in Scottish football at the moment, the continuing disintegration of an Aberdeen team who are next up for Hibs.
00:12Aberdeen were brutally exposed by St Mirren at the weekend, partly due to individual errors, but also their structural problems leaving them 2 vs 2 at the back or unable to cope with a simple long ball over the top.
00:26Without the ball, Aberdeen will try to create two solid lines of four, but they can be drawn out, and they do leave gaps, as many teams have discovered lately.
00:38The last time these teams faced each other, Hibs ran out 3-1 winners in Aberdeen, playing with Nicky Cadden high and wide on the left and Josh Campbell tucked in behind the front two, they carved their hosts open.
00:52Cadden's brilliant volley goal was a good example of Hibs overloading the right side, with Joe Newell joining in the build-up, to create room for the wing-back to attack the back post.
01:03And Martin Boyle's third for the visitors showed how effectively David Gray's men laid traps for the Dons, enticing them to play just the wrong ball at precisely the wrong moment.
01:14Same again at Easter Road on Saturday then. Well, there's a reason why the bookies make Hibs odds on favourites to close the gap on a team sitting two places and five points ahead of Gray's men at the moment.
